Maybe that's just the way that Lessard feels... why is Jean being blamed for everything? Believe it or not, the players have some resposibility over how they feel or how they play.. That's why I said if Jean was putting the pressure on the players like that. But even if Lessard and other players are putting that much pressure on themselves, isn't it Jean's job to deflect that kind of pressure off the players?

after a terrible first period, the guys finally came to play. they dominated. walker and latal were unstoppable most of the night. doyle played much better, kana was great again. morrrison is still not on top opf his game but played better. locke played a better game as well as lachaine. our d still worries me, as does the waek ones by lafleur, but he made 2 big stops in 3rd when we need them. take out the 1st period, and it was an excellant effort.

4-1 Rocket win.........thankfully First period was very sloppy.......and was not looking good. 2nd period Rocket domintated, as the shots show. 3rd period was a solid one as well. Nice to have Latal back in the lineup, as his speed was missed greatly.....couple nice goals to boot! Clow was dressed but did not see any icetime, which is pretty sad IMO........kid deserves some shifts if he's gonna be dressed.. Good win, now on the road for a bit.

Oh thank God.
Must win, and we got it.
Still not quite there, the game probably should have been a blow out, but I'm not going to complain about a win. The guys played a much better 60-minute game, and they deserved the W for sure. The shots we dominated, but I'm sure the scoring chances were a lot closer.
Latal had a really nice return. You could tell he wasn't at the top of his game, and still he had 2 big goals and an assist. And a couple of posts. He could have had 4 or 5 goals tonight with a little luck. He should be in for a big year.
All our top guys had good games, even Lafleur when he was called upon (despite the goal, which was weak.)
And a couple of really good moves by our coach tonight (believe it or not). He made a couple of good decisions to put Latal out with Mo and Walker. He was very prepared for the empty net situation, always having 2 centremen on the ice. Good job by Coach Jean.
What a relief... I don't know how I would have coped if we went 0-3.

Much better Rocket looking team than Sunday.
Total domination out there in the second. Rocket were lucky they got the tying goal after that shitty Lewiston goal.

Very enjoyable game tonight. Let's hope for a successful road trip and get some more points. I look foreward to the next home game. If the team can get a solid effort like this every night we should see more fans in the CCC.

After the ist period I said OH<OH. But then something must of happened in the Rockets dressing room as a much different team played the 2nd and 3rd periods good for Jean and the Rockets maybe it was a mini slump they were in because on paper they should be playing this way. Good luck

Better game tonight and better effort, they're not quite there yet but it is a step in the right direction. I thought the big difference was that they stayed out of the penalty box. I noticed that Jean didn't juggle lines as much and that was a help, just hope he keeps doing that. But one thing that I thought he did was play Morrison too much. Besides playing on the top line he had him on the pp, the pk and at times had him with the 3rd & 4th line players, no need for him to be with the 3rd & 4th liners at this stage of the season especially when the younger players need playing time.
I'm not sure who was keeping track of the shots, but I think Lewiston had more shots than what was recorded. At one point in the game they had 6 shots which was shown for a while, then one time I looked it was back down to 5 shots, not sure what happened there.

Great effort tonight. The boys really came out strong in the second and third. First period was kind of sloppy. It was good to see Latel back in the lineup. He keeps the other teams on their toes with his speed. I thought Doyle and Walker also had strong games tonight. Great win. One that we needed. Way to go Rocket. Best of luck guys with the road trip coming up.

Latal returns to lead Rocket over Lewiston The Guardian
Spurred on by forward Martin Latal’s two goals, the P.E.I. Rocket defeated the Lewiston Maineiacs 4-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Wednesday at the Civic Centre.
Latal returned from the Phoenix Coyote training camp early Wednesday and, with little sleep, potted the game winner and insurance goal in P.E.I.’s first win of the season.
“I slept like seven hours so I’m still tired, but I feel a whole lot better because I made first star and played good. So I hope I play good in the next two games in Newfoundland,” said Latal, who’s three-point game equalled his total against Lewiston in six games last season.
After killing a first-period penalty, the defending President’s Cup champs scored first off forward Todd Chinova’s wrist shot from just inside the Rocket blue-line that dribbled through Rocket goalie Antoine Lafleur’s blocker arm.
It was the third straight game P.E.I.’s given up a game’s first goal. It punctuated a drab first period by both teams.
But, late in the frame, the teams found some energy and, at 19:31 Rocket defenceman Pierre-Luc Lessard’s low-point shot scooted past Lewiston goalie Peter Delmas, tying the game 1-1.
As slow as the first period was, the second was lively, particularly for the Rocket, which fired 20 shots at Delmas but the score stayed 1-1.
Lafleur faced his first shot with 3:21 left in the period.
By the third, Lafleur tightened up his play, proof coming on a sprawling save about 30 seconds in against Lewiston’s Marc-André Daneau, who scooped up a missed pass by Lessard for a breakaway.
Then at 59 seconds Latal’s first goal of the season gave the Rocket a 2-1 lead.
With the puck again two minutes later, Latal tested Delmas with a backhand, got in a scuffle with a Maineiacs player and was tagged with a roughing penalty.
The call brought out the boos from the Civic Centre crowd. “He wanted to fight me so I just pushed him away. I don’t know . . . referees are referees,” said Latal.

Great performance from the Rocket tonight based on what I saw on the web from the 2nd period on. Obviously a big game for Latal... based on what I saw your other Euro Kana looks exactly as advertised, a freight train out there with some skills.
What has the PP looked like in the first 3 games? I found it interesting that it seemed like it would start with an umbrella and the 2nd unit would be two guys set up the point.
I'm sure lots of sighs of relief were heard around the CCC tonight!

1 st period was ok, could have been better but from what i hear better than sunday.
2 nd period was excellent , rocket dominated in every aspect of the game. if they can play at that level ALL the time they will get some fantastic results.
3 rd period was very well played as well.
overall , they looked good , hopefully they can take this game on their road trip.
good luck guys.
