I was very impressed with Walker tonight.. he was a force every shift also for Quebec.. what a player Kelsey Tessier is and is going to be for a few years I liked how Walker was drawing penalties, I know that he had drawn at least 2 and I think he even drawn a third. I find that he has been an on-ice leader so far this season by setting an example with his play, quite the opposite when he first came to the Rocket and was considered (rightfully so) a lazy player. Tessier is a great player to watch, he and Esposito gives the Remparts a nice one-two punch down the middle.

lafeur let them remparts back in the game. he was horrible, again. locke was hurt in the first period looked like a leg injury on the remparts first goal. anyone would be better then cliche, this guy is just not by any means good enough.

cliche could not play for most teams in the mjahl. and thats a fact. and if you want to sit there and say lafleur is ok, thats your choice, just shows your intelligence

I'm not disagreeing with anything you said in your original post, I just thought that you might be a little happy with a win, finally. Just a little happy, little fella...?

Jean still didn't use his bench well as Paynter hardly played and Locke hardly played after the first period. Locke was on crutches after the first period in the back hallway. I don't think he was on the bench after that but I could be wrong.

Nice to watch the team win tonight...good job boys!
We were lucky though to pull out the win, hopefully it helps with the teams confidence

Noticed tonight during the three stars that the players arent giving out hats anymore to kids at center ice, not a big deal but for young kids certainly its a thrill for them and their parents and is a goodwill gesture by the team, wondering if Flipper can fill us in on why they stopped doing it

Great entertainment tonight at The Morgue.
Wide-open hockey, up and down the ice, both offenses in high gear.
Of course, sloppy defensive play and shaky goaltending at both ends helped the offences out, but hey, it's junior hockey, and it doesn't get much better than this!
I liked how Southorn chipped in just at the right time, for the winning goal; last week, in Moncton, late in the game when the Rocket desperately needed a goal, he did the exact same thing, moving to the left lip of the crease, perfectly positioned for the rebound that never came....but tonight, it was right there on the blade of his stick!
Walker was outstanding, strong on the puck, drawing penalties, and beautiful tying goal, putting the puck high on the short (stick) side, where the opening was no more than a few inches wide.
Anyone ever seen TWO penalty shots in one game, at ANY level of hockey? I haven't.
Lafleur played poorly, but he did make the save on the penalty shot, then a great leg save on the stick side in the last minute, just before Morrison's rush resulted in the winning goal.
One downer for me was seeing Cliche out there with Walker and Morrison, totally lost, behind the play, no skating ability at all, and hands of stone......WHAT THE FRIGGS IS CLICHE DOING OUT THERE???
Terrific shift by Doyle-Latal-Kana midway through the third period...those three should always be together.
Games like tonight's will bring the crowd back.....especially since the next home game is 12 long days away.
Great going, boys!

Finally the PP clicked too. Taking Morrison off D and putting clow out there really seemed to change things. They had strong puck possesion and excellent scoring chances on the PP tonight. Nice quick puck movement!

My overall synopsis of the game tonight by player.
Lafleur.....very bad....but 2 clutch saves as mentioned by dogound. Penalty shot and pad save causing the turnover that led to the winning goal
Lessard - best game this year. Also saw him providing a lot of encouragement to teammates Gervais - Solid as always Swit......scares me when hes on the ice. Sometimes everything is fine and then he seems to have these brain farts from time to time Southorn - Not a great game tonight......2 bad miscues that cost goals, but stepped up big tome when it counted Clow - Finally seeing this kid make a difference. Good PP presence, smart decisions. Stood out tonight Malouin - No comment...he never got much chance tonight
Morrison - Played hard, threw his weight around, moved the puck well.....thats the guy we all love Walker - Unsung heroe for this team. Even though he wears no letter, he leads by example and helps the kids out with encouragement Cliche- YIKES!!! Fish out of water Doyle - His best game this year. Played a more complete game. Several good hits, 2 goals...getting it done Latal- Nice game tonight, good puck protection, some exciting rushes, alwys dangerous Kana - Also very solid.....making good offensive plays, very gritty and physical Locke - No comment-----limited ice time and injury...and I think it might be a bad one LaChaine - Good return to the roster tonight. Nice to see him find the twine Main - Excellent role player. Some huge hits tonight, and excelelnt work ethic McKinley - Kept it simple, and as a result, a very respectable showing Paynter - Damn Shame! 1 shift. He deserves better MacLean - average game tonight. Not a bad game, but I thought he was better in his last 2

I dont think you can comment on Locke, Paynter or Maclean tonight since Locke was hurt early and both Paynter and MacLean were stapled to the bench for periods 2 and 3 and almost all of period one
I doubt Paynter stays here past christmas and that is a shame.... lookin like another Praught-Snowie situation
I agree with most of the rest of your player assessments.... especially with Morrison finally being moved down low on the PP
and Clow looked very solid out there.. give the kid a chance

Yeah, I reserved judgement on those guys cause they never got a chance. I mean, even when you only get a shift or two, how can you be expected to make an impact.....with the pressure that you need to do something spectacular to get another shift. I am worried that Locke's injury might be something broken
