Id have to say 5-1 Gatineau Big guns will most likely fire like caps guns as they do on most road trips but look for a better 2nd game from them and Big game by Mior as well

I hope the Rocket pound Mior out of the net.

Out of the 3 games this weekend, I think that Gatineau will be their toughest game, but will still be in tough for all games. I think it will be something like 6-3 for Gatineau.
Hey who knows, perhaps we can get lucky and they'll ditch Jean along the way! ;D

Gatineau is a strong team and this entire road trip will be a good test. Here's hoping that Jean starts using his bench a lot better and the boys start playing up to their potential.
What I would like to see tonight is:
Walker-Morrison-Cliche (for now) Kana-Doyle-Latal McKinley-Lachaine-Gallant MacLean-DesRoches-Paynter
Lessard-Gervais Southorn-Malouin Main-Clow
Very impressed with McKinley's play the last few games and switching Gallant for Main should add a little more offensive production without losing physicality. This has the potential to become a solid 3rd line for us.
As well MacLean continues to work hard and develop, hopefully he will get a little more ice time on this road trip.
I'm disappointed that Locke wasn't able to make the trip with his leg injury as it sounded/looked like he was starting to pick up his game, hopefully he only misses this week.
I want to see Coon-Come in the lineup but it is probably best for him to watch the first game in the stands to help get adjusted and then play tomorrow night.
Deighan and Clow should continue to rotate although the key will be to give them ice time when they are dressed. As well I really liked Clow getting some PP time last week. Of course he needs to continue developing as he made some mistakes but he is very smart with the puck certainly looks like he could develop into our PP QB in the future. At the very least he should be on the second PP unit for now.
Hoping for a win but with the way this team has been playing I would satisfied with at least a good effort.

Points standings right now don't tell the true story.. Gatineau is in second place overall because they've played slightly better than .500 hockey and have played a bunch of games early.. this will be their 14th game already .. that's 1/5th of the season
In contrast this is only PEI's 10 game
I actually think this is a very good weekend trip for the Rocket.. all 3 games are winnable... 2 out of 3 is needed IMO.. and can be achieved if the boys play hard

Yes but at the start of the season without Giroux they were 2-3 against weaker teams and since Giroux's return Gatineau is 5-1-1 with 2 wins against RN and 2 against Vic.
It looks like they are playing great hockey. Certainly not unbeatable if the Rocket were playing to their potential but Gatineau does look like one of the best teams in the league right now.
However, I agree with you this road trip the Rocket should be able to take 2 of 3 but I'm not oppotmistic after watching them against Que & Hal and with Jean still coaching.
Hopefully I'm wrong and this weekend things will start to turn around.

2 out of 3 are needed if someone is still employed by Monday. Three losses will all but sink the coach.
But to look at it postively a win tonight against a very strong opponent would do wonders in terms of team confidence and could spark the turnaround we've all been waiting for....Go get 'em Rocket!!

I can see them getting 1 out of 3 but I can't see them getting 2 out of 3 with the way they are playing right now unless they are able to get their act together. Hopefully being on the road will be able to help the team gel, but they'll need more than that to get things going. I agree with reggie that a win against Gatineau would be a big boost, as long as they don't follow that up with 2 stinkers.

I would not mind seeing Gallant on with Morrison and Walker. He might be able to create some space for them out there, and I am sure he would not be afraid to go to the net and create havoc

Should be a good game tonight, obviously hoping the Rocket come out with the win. Was going to head to the rink and watch the Abbies/Caps game but with the weather outside I think it is just one of those nights to get all snug in a blanket and watch the Rocket on the computer lol.
