I can only comment on the game I saw last night and for Lafleur it was a three punch knockout on most goals. One, Two, Three!! He made the first two stops and the third slips by. What more can you ask from a goalie? Defense should be on the puck after the first stop. Not his fault last night. Any coach will tell you the same. Defence sucked and forwards were caught up ice.

And then wingman brought up how Riopel wasnt drafted....which basicaly insinuated that he felt Lafleur was better/having a better season than Riopel. Where did I say that Lafleur was having a better season than Riopel? When Porkchop brougth up Rio you basically shot down his argument saying Lafleur was drafted and Rio wasnt...you insinuated that Lafleur was better based on that alone.

In my last post I explained what I meant and where I was coming from. You can interpret my "insinuations" if you want.

Nobody is arguing that he is having a good year Exactly.......most of us here are in agreement that he has not been playing well....... Ol Porky needs to worry about the Titan goaltending tanderm rather then LAfleur. I'm not really too concerned about Bathurst's goaltending........they have both been playing rather well so far this season, with the exception of the team meltdown in Cape Breton.....

There's five guys in front of Lafleur, (when the coach can get the right number on the ice), who have a chance to stop a goal (let's not even consider trying to score) before the puck gets anywhere near the net. I agree he's had some bad moments and I said in another post he's let some stinkers in this year but he is just one guy and the whole team is misfiring and the guy in charge has no idea how to get the team working together. They don't even have to win to keep me going to the rink and keep following them but they'd better start working like a team sometime soon. A "top 5" goalie in the Q should be able to post better numbers than what Lafleur has put up even if his team was down a man the entire game... Lafleur had 3-4 good months...hes not as good as everyone is making him out to be, just my opinion. I stated the same opinion prior to the season, and people told me I was mean.
