and i see in the game summary, latal did get a misc. is odd he was allowed to shoot, i would think there would be a rule which says he cant. but guess not.

morrison was benched in the o.t. never got a shift. i was waiting to see if he let him shoot. and i never heard an announcement or saw latal get a misconduct at the end of overtime. did i just miss it? According to the Q site: Overtime No goals Penalties: PEI - Martin Latal (05:00)(misc.) There was no penalty at the end of OT.. perhaps Latal actually got a misconduct for taunting the Devils bench after his goal?

Had to come over here and comment on that save in the shootout....WoW the move was sweet ...but that save was sweeeeeter...nice job by Lafleur, way to pull it out at home Rocket. After being down early they got the points....but Latal did rub it in a bit at the end didn't he?

That might explain how he was allowed to shoot, but i never seen a penalty called after a shootout before.

I thought Gervais had maybe his best game yet actually.. he and Main were far and away our best dmen tonight To be honest I thought it was one of his worst games, it seemed like he was coughing the puck up alot and I think a Fog Devil's goal was a direct result of one. That Datsyuk-ian save was ridiculous... on the webcast its a bit blurry so I was looking in the net for the puck, and then Lafleur drops it from his glove lol... I was looking in the net for it also and I sit at that end of the rink, great save. Boring game. Rocket did not look motivated and interested at all. Jean was saying how they Rocket weren't going to come out flat, but yet he had them playing defensively since the drop of the puck. Morrison and Lessard didn't bring their game tonight but yet they saw lots of ice while Paynter was on the bench. The Rocket were lucky to not only win the shootout, but to even get to the shootout, not many positives to take from that game. At least they stayed out of the penalty box.

Did anyone notice the foggies playing trap with 3 mins left and down by a goal? Does that seem familiar to anyone? lol Not really....the Fog Devils can play the trap and use it well, the Rocket can't. There are bigger holes in the Rocket trap than what the Titanic had.

Gervais has been fighting the puck all season.. i think in due part to his wrist injury.. of course he's gonna see alot of ice however, he's one of our few veteran blueliners.. they get a bit more leeway than a raw 17 year old rookie will.. and they should

Gervais has been a good solid defenseman since he came here, IMO he just had an off night tonight.

I thought that Deighan played a pretty good game tonight.........
Coon-Come played pretty good as well IMO. Kid has some good offensive skill in the zone.

Secondly, with reference to the trap, regardless of how good a team plays it, if you are losing at the end of the game and down by a goal, don't you think that would be a good time to apply pressure to try to tie the game up? Not necessarily. If a trap is played well, it can create turnovers forcing the other team to give the puck up, which is what happened on the tying goal. The Rocket were unable to clear the puck, turned it over and the Fog Devils took advantage of it. For years the NJ Devils were creating their offence off of their trap.

I dont think St.John's nor PEI are as bad as they are playing so far this season and rocketlauncher i dont believe the Devils are the worst team in the league so i guess ill argue that with you
