Should be a big test for this Rocket team, and I look forward to watching this game!
Seems as though some are expecting fast results with the coaching change, and as Guy said this morning in The Guardian, it takes some time...
Last night Guy played with the lines a bit, which is good to see. He's starting to make this team his, and starting to make some changes to see what he likes.
I personally have faith in Guy, and I believe that he will turn this team into what a lot of people expected as the season started.....a team that can compete every night against the best teams in this league.

A win in this game would be a big confidence builder for the team and the coach. I can't see it happening, but it'd be really nice.
5-3 Moose.

No momentum+new systems+supposed league powerhouse= no victory this evening. I will echo Score, though and say that I'm still behind Guy, it takes time to get your ducks in a row.

Umm, well, maybe you hadn't noticed those standings where Halifax is only second in the division.

I think this is a game where PEI could surprise you and work for the new coach. 4-3 Rocket

They still have a better win %. And it is still possible that they could get Shep back.

BTW, isn't this about the time of year where Swan pricks his finger and is out 4-6 weeks.

If the Rocket play with the effort they showed in the game against Cape Breton, I think they should be able to at least keep the game close, but if they put forth the effort they showed last night, forget it. I am more interested to see how the players respond under Guy after the game last night, hopefully he is the type that won't let them off the hook with efforts like that. I think that in time he will be able to get this team on track as long as the players show up to play game in-game out. I think that Halifax will take this one.

I watched on TV... didnt find PEI lacked effort really... outshot them pretty handily, and really carried the play over the 2nd half despite being down 3-0... it was just endless bad decisions, or individual efforts that STJ's made ineffective. Maybe you could pick up a different vibe at the rink... but I thought PEI were more disorganized (chemistry) than effortless.

Maybe you could pick up a different vibe at the rink... but I thought PEI were more disorganized (chemistry) than effortless. No doubt disorganization was a big part of that game. But I just felt that the guys could have put a better effort into it. In the Cape Breton game I felt it was a great effort and last night I thought they looked like a different team in that department. They did get alot of shots, but I thought it was the efforts in the little things that made the difference. Too many soft plays when trying to bang the puck off the boards/glass to clear the zone. Not taking the man out of the play in the defensive zone. Players standing at the red line and not being able to tip the puck down the ice to prevent icings especially with the puck well within their reach. On a couple of those I thought that Guy was going to blow a gasket on the bench, I think he still has his hand prints on his forehead from clasping his hands there. It is the little things like that can make a difference in a game and I thought the effort should have been a lot better in that area.
