We are two games away from the half way point of the season. Wildcats are currently 18th overall with 24 points. As of today, the other 4 teams in the lottery would be Drummondville (29 points), Gatineau (27 points), Sherbrooke (27 points) and Baie-Comeau (26 points).
Looking at today's schedule, there are some key match-ups: Drummondville @ Baie-Comeau and Gatineau @ Sherbrooke.
Should we secretly hope for both to end as 3-point games?

Yes lets hope they are all 3 point games and the Wildcats keep losing as in this case losing eguals winning for the future.

Gonna be interesting to see who they(Cats) will move prior to the deadline. From watching last night's game, the older veterans were putting on a good performance for sure, knowing a few may be gone hopefully to contenders. This season is sunk for them so just as well make themselves attractive to a team who isn't hanging in the cellar.

if Dubois/Roy/Gauthier are all off the table as per apparent rumors and confirmations on twitter. Seems like Rouyn/Charlottown/Victo/shawi may be making calls on wildcat players.

The Klima brothers will be traded to Chicoutimi according to Mikael Lalancette I wonder what the return will be, Chicoutimi is starting to look good. Ratelle/klimas/rubtsov are big additions to their forward group.

Latest rumours out of Chicoutimi are that no players are involved, only picks ... and that the cost was less than they might have expected ...

D'après moi on peut penser à 1 choix de 1 + p-e 2 choix de 2 ou quelque chose du genre." It also said the return could be a 1st and two 2nds...not as much as Sags fans thought it would cost, but a bigger return than Cats fans thought.

^^ That would be fantastic value provided the Cats aren't adding any more from their own side.
EDIT: Looking at CHI picks they only have Rouyn's first this year but they have 3 2nds - their own, SJ, BAT

While it may not be a fantastic return, you couldn't be too unhappy about it. I would have liked to have a young player involved but a 1st and 2 2nds is better than I thought.

Would the Klimas sit this weekend while they wait for the trade period to open?

Gotta love the sound of that...on the heels of the Donaghey fleecing and Campannelli trade. Let's rush to give Chicouimi a bargaiun a week before the trade period! WTF??

Would the Klimas sit this weekend while they wait for the trade period to open? I would not play them and risk injury. Remember the Donaghey-Sweeney trade that fell apart?

I prefer a 1st and two 2nds than the rumor I heard...actually wouldn't be a bad trade. 2nd rounders often turn into good players...for teams that draft well. Look at how RN built their team last year. Lots of top 5 picks...but some very very good ones...Lauzon Myers Perron nantel Beaudin Fortin Fontaine Waked etc
