You know its a bad deal because Chi could trade the two Klimas in their 20 year season for the same or more. Highly doubtful The fact they apparently need to be packaged together and one is not that good deflates their actual value Even more so when they are twenty and would be taking two thirds of the slots up If the two Klimas are not pro level then where else will they be going? Their package produces and they would only be first year non playing University guys. Far better for them to play Q for money. There has to be a team in the Q who would make space. I think it is a fair assumption they would be back. You could build that into the trade if you are sly.

Kevin was undoubtedly the better player last year but Kelly has been better this year. exactly, Kevin was the better player in all aspects last year. This year Kelly has found his scoring touch.

A quick glance shows that we will clinch last overall with 4 more losses ... or less. We are 18 pts behind BC with each having 12 games to play (Mon at 29, BC at 47). At this point we can only accumulate 53 pts total for the season ... we won't of course.
Not considering tie-breakers, we could still catch (we won't) Halifax (53), Rimouski (53), Val D'Or (52), Drummondville (49), Sherbrooke (48), Baie-Comeau (47). So a loss today would release Hal, Rim and VD from finishing last overall.
I know ... a silly thing to track since it is inevitable that we'll finish last ... but we have nothing left to look forward to.

We are chasing records ... longest Q losing streak is close, CHL record also in reach ... perhaps we can celebrate by putting up a banner!
