Where did our 2019 5th go? I can't find record of it having been dealt. Also, Q trade summary shows us acquiring R-N's 9th in 2019 from Shawinigan in the Waite trade ... and no mention of it being dealt subsequently. Maybe Sha got their pick back when he did not make the team. For the 2019 5th, I have no idea...it was there in my Jan 5th update. I find there's always a couple picks in those rounds 3 and onward that end up switching teams without being tracked properly on the Q site. You'd think for "paper tracking" purposes they'd at least do a "sans compensation" move to show the picks changing hands since clearly people are interested in knowing what picks their teams own. |

Maybe Sha got their pick back when he did not make the team. For the 2019 5th, I have no idea...it was there in my Jan 5th update. I find it frustrating that the Q does not bother to post all trades involving picks, including the returns of conditional ones, on their website ... they obviously do some (see today's trade where Victo sent a 5th to Shawinigan for nothing - must have been linked to a condition of a previous trade). They obviously have a more complete database somewhere that the teams have access to. Yeah the teams probably have access to a complete list of picks and all the conditions attached as the real list is always different then the fan lists being tracked. |

I wouldn’t know sounds like like not... lol One of those guys that probably would’ve commit to the Q but wasn’t drafted to the right team. Always could be an opportunity he comes in next year but I highly doubt it. Don’t think he’s in the right league to come to the Q anyways. Would’ve been neat though. |

For those who have an interest in this, La Presse is doing an interesting project consisting of following the evolution (ups and downs) of 17 QC-born prospects born in 2001 which they intend to follow over a 5-year period. They published their initial list in January 2019 (see free link below) and have followed them since. In addition, La Presse also decided to make a similar 5-year follow-up of 2002 QC-born prospects. The free link to the first 2002-born article is also provided below. Tomorrow, La Presse will be publishing another article looking back at the 2001-born prospect (revisiting their January 2019 list) and commenting on their progression. Very interesting for anyone who follows the QMJHL (and free of charge) ! going to have to redo this all on monday once the moose take more from moncton for #14. Happy trails with him sometimes too many players added can cause more bad than good its like redoing the locker room let alone a new coach. I think of that CB team that loaded up many years and were toast in the 1st round they just could not gel or the drakker last season. I hope that dont happen i want to see moncton in the Q final but i am tad worried after seeing the NS games.
