As much as it would be fun to watch him in Moncton, I'm concerned it will make the Wildcats just good enough that they decide to go for it this year (or hold pat), especially if they believe Khovanov will also show this year. As a 20yo European who has already played a year in the Q, Miramanov could be traded by Moncton, correct?

But yeah, he can definitely be traded. I would not mind if he and Welsh were both traded this trading period.

The way things are right now, I don't see them selling big unless the team falls on its face.

I think that is what we all fear but I don't think Miromanov will be the guy that changes the direction of the rebuild.

The way things are right now, I don't see them selling big unless the team falls on its face. Wildcats are getting two top 6 forwards by adding Miromanov and Khovanov. That's without trading away prospects or picks. Will another team be able to do that? No. I can't see Khovanov being thrown into a top 6 role considering how long he's been away from the game. Use him as 3rd line center with Seitz and Dunda. Hopefully trade Pataki for a 4th or 5th round pick. Release MacRae. MacDonald - Tessier - Miromanov Pelletier - Cyr - McKenna Seitz - Khovanov - Dunda Hudson - Capannelli - Blackmore (Kuzmin/C. McKenna) I'd like to see Roger Shannon make a move for a 19 year old defenseman. Gabriel Sylvestre from Shawinigan? Maybe give back their 2018 2nd rounder. Aspirot - Welsh Le Coultre - Sylvestre Bellamy - Auger (Arsenault/Tucker) Grametbauer Waite

Wonder who the odd man out will be ? I'm leaning towards McRae or McKenna... I’d say McRae just based off the age factor

If Waite plays well over the next stretch I would think you's have to move one of the 2 goalies. It'll also be interesting to see of Capannelli shows some improvement from last year similar to Cyr/McKenna. That would give more depth to potentially trade from.

I'd like to see Roger Shannon make a move for a 19 year old defenseman. Gabriel Sylvestre from Shawinigan? Maybe give back their 2018 2nd rounder. Sylvestre will likely cost at least a 1st. Halifax, Bathurst and Victo at least would all be interested in him driving his value up.

If Daniil is indeed coming over to play in Moncton, keep an eye out for his parents Alex and Inna. Wonderful people. Well worth taking the time to say hello to and getting to know. They were an absolute joy to have around Bathurst and the rink during the 15-16 and 16-17 seasons.

I have just received confirmation from a Russian source that Miromanov is leaving the KHL to join the Wildcats. We can definitely use him if he wants to show up for the 3 games this weekend.
