if I had to take a guess on what the compensation is for Miromanov if it is infact 2 picks in 2018 it's probably a 3rd, and a 4th. which turns out to be:
3rd 2018 4th 2018 6th 2018 for: Murphy 4th 2018
4ths basically cancel each other out so a 3rd and 6th for Murphy seems fair based on his performance last year. I can't see it being a 2nd and a 3rd considering we don't own a 2nd for 2018 as Moncton owns it. This is all I can really see happening but who knows what it actually is. I think we just need to wait till the draft and see what it is, everyone should be aware by now that compensation is an actual thing for players who don't report in trades.

everyone should be aware by now that compensation is an actual thing for players who don't report in trades. Except that Shannon already knew and was told by the player that his chance of reporting was non existent. Miromanov made no secret that he was returning to Russia after last season. So it was a gamble from the start. Only later did Shannon speak out about that request when he saw that the player would not report. This is fantasyland.....where Shannon is trying to cover his butt.

The fact that everybody knew the risk involves makes it that much more logical that compensation picks would be involved. They could have done it another way, with the Cats getting the picks in the deal, then sending them back if he showed up in Moncton. The only part that is fantasyland is your poorly informed source driving a poorly informed opinion on your part. Your source was likely told to deny all future considerations as they usually involve current players leaving after the season. Not only that but I recall you, yourself stating that Moncton would get a pick if Murphy reported to Bathurst or something, that was 4-6 weeks ago I think...

Miromanov has been sent down to the VHL (KHL minors). Currently playing with Dizel Penza. 1 assist in 3 games. He has been recalled by HK Sochi as of yesterday.

We are in a free world and Shannon can say what he wants in an Irving paper, but what a fuss on your part for two 4th rounds pretended picks which should turn out being baloney according to my source.

Is this the same source that had PO Joseph going to Sherbrooke to complete the Carl Neill deal, because you know, I didn't know what the cost of going on a run was? My source tells me that your source is full of baloney......

Then it's clear you need a better source. it's also a free world for Couturier to call him on a lie if he was lying...and Couturier hasn't...so silence speaks volumes.

We are in a free world and Shannon can say what he wants in an Irving paper, but what a fuss on your part for two 4th rounds pretended picks which should turn out being baloney according to my source. Well then ... lets put $100 on it. If Moncton gets "two picks better than 5ths" from Bathurst as compensation for Miromanov not reporting to Moncton ... I get $100 from you. If Moncton gets nothing from Bathurst as compensation for Miromanov not reporting to Moncton ... you get $100 from me. If anything else happens in between or outside of those two choices then the bet is void. If we get just one pick ... the bet is off ... if you send us a 20 at the next draft ... the bet is off. What may happen is a deal structured in a future trading period that provides compensation and a player going to Bathurst or one going to Moncton. So that would be two deals rolled into one ... and we wouldn't be able to determine the true value of the compensation portion ... and so the bet would be off. Feel free to adjust the paramaters if you wish.
