3-2 moose halfway through the game
Pelletier is on fire. Now 13 pts in his 8 game point streak.

Thought the Cats played pretty well for the most part. Nice to see some offence again after it sputtered this weekend.
That sixth Halifax goal though was absolutely abysmal.

Durandeau drove around the defenseman, got a shot off in tight and Bishop quickly knocked in the rebound as he was crashing the other side. Unless I missed something about that goal?

That was a weak goal. Durandeau seen here as he was driving around the D man, actually ended up sliding the puck across the top of the crease to #61 for the goal (you can see the puck on it's way). I thought it was a shot/rebound, but it was actually a pass. Only way a goalie saves that is by cheating off the post.

The angle was poorly covered and BMD is often down on his knees....and so is Waite. This is not a goaltender I would like on my team as a #1.... Grametbauer on the other hand....

You're not telling us something we didn't already know. Waite has not looked good this year. It doesn't help that he missed 6 weeks due to injury.

A centering pass from down by the post, out front to an open man, is 99% of the time tapped in for the goal. That is not a weak goal. It may be the hardest goal to stop as a goalie, as you are taught to play the shooter. Not only that, he had another D man in front to ideally stop the pass from getting through, but didn't. edit: It actually looked like Durandeau tried to take it from backhand to forehand for a quick shot, which is when Waite dropped against the post - but the he missed contact on the forehand shot, so the puck essentially shot across the crease to Bishop. But I see you are just trying to boost other goalies, or downplay Hal/Mon ones. So carry on.

We hold the eight slot in the league at present, a middle of the road team anywhere between 7-10th position as the season progresses IMHO. Certainly not a top five team in the league by no means and what is currently happening with our team is probably expected.

What game so far was more important than last night? And one just admits above that everybody knew Grametbauer was the better goaltender at the moment. If a Coach wants to remain on top of its main rival, he starts his best goaltender when facing off against that rival.....

I think it's more that they want to see what they have in Waite since he's been hurt and to give Grametbauer a few games off since he has the most minutes in the Q so far. They probably don't want to burn him out. I really think they're planning to build for next year and keeping Grametbauer as a 20 makes sense.
