If you're going by the Hockey Prospect rankings the Cats took the best player available. That's a refreshing change.

Lukas Cormier to Charlottetown at #4. Is he the highest drafted Moncton Flyer of all time ? Can't recall anybody going higher than 4th. I think Jeff LeBlanc went 1st over all in 95 to the alpines and Jamie Sandford went 1st over all to victo in 01... maybe memory is hazy at best these days LeBlanc was drafted in the Maritime-US draft, it was a separate draft back then. Sanford went around 10th overall to Victo in 2000 or 2001... |

I would like to see 2-3 go in rounds 2-3-4 though. Cats have 2 picks coming up pretty quick at #20 and 27...I wouldn't mind two D or a D and a goalie... |
