Why did King play AAA again instead of Junior A? He was the 3rd overall pick, right? Steven Fox, the 1st overall pick also didn't play. I don't know his reasons personally, but between the financial reasons and the fact he likely wouldn't get nearly as much ice, his decision to stay in Midget makes sense to me. NSMMHL is a development league, unfortunately the MHL is not. |

Lukas Cormier to Charlottetown at #4. Is he the highest drafted Moncton Flyer of all time ? Can't recall anybody going higher than 4th.

From the end of the first round to the start of the second round there are five straight picks where it is only Moncton and Val d'Or picking back and forth.

Sanford was 11th OA in 2001. Pierre Durepos was 10th in 2009. I think that was the previous highest Flyer pick.
Then there was Patrice Cormier who went 5th. It was the Beavers not the Flyers but still a local team.
