Has top 6 potential in the Q but is leaning towards NCAA. You're talking about Hillier and not Berube right? Hopefully they have something in place with him so they felt comfortable taking him.

Yes Hillier. He was rumoured to be 1st / 2nd round material at the beginning of the year so i’m assuming that’s why he slipped to the 4th round. Hopefully he does report cause he has the size and skill set to push for a roster spot this season.

Interesting piece of information. Elliot Desnoyers' uncle is former Wildcat Simon Laliberte.

So far they have drafted 3 forwards, 2 defencemen, and 1 goalie. They have 11 picks left so I assume we will see them trade a few of them because they don't expect to make that many picks. So far I must say I'm impressed, with our choices, glad the Shannon days are gone!!!

The Lavellee pick is the one I'm most interested in. It's been a long time since Moncton has drafted a big goalie high in the draft.

How many of the guys Moncton drafted are NCAA leans? Walker seems to have dropped a lot. Stammer is an awful late pick for his stats at 15...

They’re 2 really good picks, to get Stammer and Walker where they did (assuming they Q interest) are real nice selections. Stammer, I’m assuming fell due to his size... Walker I’m not sure about.

Hillier and Spence are 100% committed to Moncton. Walker will be at camp. Whether it's for 48 hours or less remains to be seen.

I haven’t felt his good about a Cats draft in a while. I’m impressed. They stayed the course and stayed away from risky trades. Made some great picks for 1st round talents in later rounds (Lavallee,Hiller). Also, not having the big sell job and fanfare (home of the 3rd overall pick) leading up to the draft was a nice change.
