Walker seems to have dropped a lot. Stammer is an awful late pick for his stats at 15... I had heard NCAA as a possibility for Spence and Hillier - not sure how serious .... Hillier was at the draft ... Wildcats tweeted a photo of him with the jersey on ... unless it was somebody else wrongly labeled. I doubt a kid from NFLD goes to Shawinigan for the draft if he isn't interested in reporting.

I think he's going to school in Ontario.m but your point remains.

Spence will be a Wildcat. Kid had quite the year in the MHL, real good on the PP.

Walker is listed in Elite Prospects as a Forward. He's a right shot defenseman.

Does anyone one know if American were chosen in the weekend draft? It would seem unfair for the number one team to keep getting number one choices in each of the Canadian, American and European drafts. The fact you can carry only two Europeans usually limits the unfairness in that draft but you can have as many Americans as you want on a team. How does this new draft work?

There were a few Americans chosen. Halifax took 2 or 3, Bathurst took 1 and Quebec took at least one. I'm sure there were a few others chosen as well.

I'm guessing they just take a shot on bigger name guys that they don't have a deal with. I think that if they had lined some guys up they would have chosen them in the regular draft.

I didn't realize until now that Americans were taken in the draft , I had assumed they could only be drafted today.

You would think with three scouts down there , we would be able to find at least one decent player and get him to report...

You have to think that removing Shannon probably affected their relationships with some of the players. He was probably the guy leading the discussions with some of the players so removing probably set them back a bit.

Remparts picked Alexander "Sasha" Teleguine and Matt Beniers. Teleguine already spoke to Remparts. High possibilities to see him for 48 hours in training camp. He has a verbal agreement with Northeastern Huskys (expect to playin 2021-2022). For Beniers, he doesn't have offers from NCAA collèges. According to Vermette, Beniers is the best 2002 born player from New-England.
