There were a few Americans chosen. Halifax took 2 or 3, Bathurst took 1 and Quebec took at least one. I'm sure there were a few others chosen as well. Remparts picked Alexander "Sasha" Teleguine and Matt Beniers. Teleguine already spoke to Remparts. High possibilities to see him for 48 hours in training camp. He has a verbal agreement with Northeastern Huskys (expect to playin 2021-2022). For Beniers, he doesn't have offers from NCAA collèges. According to Vermette, Beniers is the best 2002 born player from New-England. Beniers is one of the top 2002s in the US. He signed a contract to play with US Under 17 Team. It's not cheap to break that deal.

Henessy is married with a Québec native girl and spoke French really well now. He loved his time in Québec.

Does anyone one know if American were chosen in the weekend draft? It would seem unfair for the number one team to keep getting number one choices in each of the Canadian, American and European drafts. The fact you can carry only two Europeans usually limits the unfairness in that draft but you can have as many Americans as you want on a team. How does this new draft work? #1 in the "Canadian" draft was decided by a lottery. Import draft is way less about where you pick and who you're willing to spend on. American draft is a gimmick as anyone worth anything would have been selected on Saturday. There's nothing unfair about the situation.

On draft day we sent our 7th round 2019 pick to Baie-Comeau in a deal.
We had sent that pick to Cap Breton in early 2017 for Baillargeon. I did't see when that pick came back to us in another trade.
We did get a 7th round 2019 pick from Charlottetown in the Desjardins trade... maybe that's the pick we sent to Baie-Comeau.

Moncton owns 6 picks in the first 4 rounds. Here's a look at where they'll be picking if the draft lottery stays as is. I will include who they could select with each pick as ranked by HockeyProspect.com. Hole in one with Hillier. Two over with Desnoyers. A terrible 51 over with Spence. +53 to finish the round. That's a bad day of golf.

so I'm not sure it's been talked about so I apologize, but with Leclerc coming in, what happens to Grametbauer? Considering there was no trade for him over the weekend it seems kinda odd, I doubt both goalies come to camp and battle it out
