It's a free country and the board is in no way affiliated with the Wildcats. Isn't that fact even more reason for the main resource about the team that's not team affiliated to have not quite the over the top cynical attitude that many do though to the point that the board itself has to be dripping in it with that title header on the front page? And while the country may be "free"(different meaning to every person, btw) that works 2 ways. Everyone has an opinion. I'm in agreement with you ... and I did find it funny for a few days after it was put up ... but no longer funny. However, I now view it as more of a protest of sorts against what the Wildcats have become over the last half dozen years ... and I hope it stays up until Roger Shannon is gone. So ... hopefully taken down by Monday. In fact ... I'd like whomever has the keys to change the caption to "FIRE SHANNON !!"

Hmm - the mobile app on iPhone hasn't worked for me for many months, and I thought I had read it was an incompatibility with 10.something of iOS. Does the mobile app work for anyone else on iPhone? I can't get the proboards app to work on Android ... It did work on my last phone but hasn't work since I upgraded. I use Tapatalk now but it isn't great. Like JB, I just use a browser on mobile.

The extra wording on the board is staying up for the full Wildcats season. Was always my intention. Don't care if you think its childish or not. So will you take it down tonight around 10:00 PM ?

This would be a good time to clean house. Maybe Monday. In an ideal scenario they get a coach/GM similar to when Nolan was here and use Thibeau as assistant GM/head scout.

So ... hopefully taken down by Monday. In fact ... I'd like whomever has the keys to change the caption to "FIRE SHANNON !!" Which would be a much more appropriate caption if that's your protest. I'd also state though that if you change it to that and going into next season he's not fired....then change it to something generic until you see how your team plays on the ice and comes together. I'm all for us using posts and threads to share our views...cynical or not...as we're the knowledgeable ticket buyers for these teams who have strong opinions and shouldn't be scared to show it. But i'll explain my view of it like this: I constantly rip MA Dumont when I see things I don't like. Whether it be trades, statements in the press, coaching systems on the ice, personnel decision such as ice time or who dresses, etc...but once the key parts of the season roll around like big end of season or playoff games I try to change my perspective a bit to more of a fan which in my view is trying to be fair to the 20 kids wearing jerseys representing my community. Right now you guys keep saying you've been an awful team for X amount of years and many of us look and see a franchise we'd kill to have compared to what we've seen in terms of success. You have very high standards that I am very jealous of...but even right now you upset a top team and are playing a top team yet the caption on your board makes you look like the most cynical fan base on the planet despite your last 4 seasons being final 4 playoffs, final 4 playoffs, last place team, huge playoff upset likely going out in round 2 to #1 team in league. Those results make the caption here way over the top. Like WAYYYY over the top. You can be cynical, and expect even more, but still not come off as if you've only seen teams who finish mid pack and never win a thing beyond maybe 1 50/50 playoff round every few years. You're 2 years removed from back-to-back 128+ seasons from Garland and years of 16 and 17 playoff games. You have Pelletier and Khovanov to build around. You can want a management change...and still not quite come off as the childish bunch your caption would indicate even if the results say it really hasn't been quite as bad as some make it out to be as you are about to walk into a brand spanking new multi million dollar facility that could transform your city and make your team even more powerful in bringing in top talent. I think I can both appreciate the uber high standards some of you clearly have while suggesting you balance it slightly with some respect, rather than cynicism, when you consider the players families and other posters who may come here and actually be content with the success and direction and may be fed up with the constant over the top view some feel the need to push around in every thread. These boards become predictable and pointless when dominant posters only post to further their own agenda and this board has some of the worst for it....with the caption, in my opinion, not helping that cause very much.

Furthering your agenda by posting and contributing your view of the situation vs abusing your admin power by controlling that caption and putting a random end date on such a harsh title is laughable to me. Why can't that area simply be neutral and your own personal opinion be shared by you the poster vs standing behind a "my say, don't care what anyone thinks" line of thinking which is basically the definition of childish. If you don't care that people think your actions are childish then you clearly shouldn't have the ability to control that caption. As a moderator you should absolutely care what people think about things like that and that view just furthers the free for all attitude that has caused these boards to grow stale due to that stance from people like yourself.

These boards become predictable and pointless when dominant posters only post to further their own agenda and this board has some of the worst for it....with the caption, in my opinion, not helping that cause very much. Our dislike of Shannon has nothing to do with having some mediocre playoff success. It is the trades and player personnel decisions that are made that just get in the way of future success. We just want what is best for the franchise. I get what you are saying in that we have had success ... two championships in 12 yrs ... and a few extra good playoff runs. But we have seen those more recent playoff runs and knew from the beginning that they weren't going anywhere ... our contending year was always further off. While I understand that you would kill for your team to have the success that we have had ... that doesn't mean that we can't hope for more of the same. But all of us veteran posters on here can clearly see that the team has been in a rut of doing it the wrong way. WE want to see a rebuilding period where every decision is made based on what is best for the future of the team ... and when we are at the contending stage ... pay fair price for key assets instead of getting raped every time. Shannon has to learn that the key to any good negotiation is to have a good Plan B you can walk away to and not be afraid to walk away to. Stop taking shortcuts !!

Lets steal Hulton away from Charlottetown ... throw some money at him and steal him away like Pascal Vincent was poached. Or ... just tell him "You can live on the mainland ... it won't cost you $47 to come to Bass Pro anymore ... take it or leave it".

Or ... just tell him "You can live on the mainland ... it won't cost you $47 to come to Bass Pro anymore ... take it or leave it". That's an interesting possibility based on the precedent set by Vincent which I believe the league logic was: His contract is with CBSE but as a league we don't get involved in those matters so if he wants to just walk away from that job and take a job with another Q team then who are we to hold him to a contract that is with an individual team? If say a Hulton was offered some crazy amount of money by a Moncton or Halifax for a big year like 2019 is anticipated to be would the league have any more input or follow the same logic they did in 2008? Toss the weaker market a compensation pick and call it a day? I'd like to think that over the last 10 years some methods were put in place to make people accountable to the contracts they've signed. But we all know that's not necessarily how this league does business.
