Why? Why do they need to trade for another goalie? If Lavallee is the second best goalie in camp, and it sounds like he has been, then you keep him on your team. Give him 20-25 games. The team is not contending this year so there should be no issue in doing that. The indication heading into the draft was that he had a very good chance of being in the Q this season. Well paquette released an article the other day stating he wouldn’t be in the league this year but I mean if they decided that they’d be keeping him then there’s no need for a trade. Paquette also reported that Martin Reway was coming to Moncton as their second Euro for the second half of 2014/15 so I don't exactly take his word for gospel. Along with saying he won't be starting the season in Moncton the article also has quotes from Ritchie Thibeau saying they haven't decided if they're going to keep him or not. Pretty odd piece of journalism.

Seems like a waste to sit him on the bench if Rumble just rides the starter like he did last year.

Well I don’t think rumble had any faith in Waite since even when he got starts, he usually got pulled

Can anyone say how Stephen Fox is looking out there? Coming out of a huge season in NSMMHL. Granted I didn't get a chance to watch every NS team last season, but I saw him a few times and he was a clear notch above every other player I've seen all year. Just reposting this cause I'm curious.

They Cut Gaudreault today? Gotta admit I am pretty surprised, guess the backup this year is Lavallée cause it certainly won’t bw Alec McDonald... I really hope they don't have Lavallee as the backup. As 16 year old he should be getting tons of work and I doubt that'd be the case behind a 20 year old goalie. Also, Hodge was hyping up that the Cats would be making trades. I wonder if they tried to shop Dickner Yeah I wouldn't keep Lavallee unless you think he can play 25 games at this level. I don't think Dickner has any value, 5'8" forward with 8 points last year...

I thought Lavallee played really well today. DeJong also impressed me. Khovanov looks like he's ready to go. Should have been a hooking call against Saint John in overtime. Considering it took away a scoring chance for the cats. I guess the refs are in training camp too. Or they are in mid season form.

I’m thinking it’s just a case of lavalee has 100% outplayed him and been the 2nd best goalie in camp and deserves to be on the team. I just hope they don’t give him like 10 starts and ruin him

I don't know if it was just me or maybe others have noticed but it seemed to me that Gaudreault was not quick moving laterally. I know he's not a tall goaltender but he looked like he could be beaten easily with wrap arounds.
