That’s definetly surprising then VERY. MacDonald hasn't performed well enough to earn the back-up role. Stephane Paquette posted an article this morning saying Lavallee wouldn't be a part of the team this season. Tristan Gray has already reported to Campbellton. Apparently there will be an announcement tomorrow according to a source. I wonder if the announcement is the Gaudreault trade? Or something else?

Historically 16 year old goalies that make it, get somewhere around the 25GP mark on the season. Sometimes they’re a little higher, sometimes they’re a little bit lower but right around 25GP seems to be the magic number. So if Lavallee does make the team, I think that’s a very safe and reasonable number for him to reach.
Leclerc played 52 games last season but I think that was too many for him and left him overmatched. Same with Grametbauer, you get those guys into the 45-50 start range and I think you’d see better numbers, that would also leave somewhere between 18-23 starts for Lavallee, plus some relief appearances and likely some starts somewhere in there from a goalie that’s been called up. Throw in a potential U17 appearance from Lavallee and you’re looking at somewhere between 25-30 games for him. Which I don’t think would be bad for his development, assuming the Wildcats aren’t an absolute tire fire and throw him to the Wolves in the defensive end.

Based on what I’ve seen, it appears Kuzmin has been released or traded

My guess on the final cuts...Leclerc and MacDonlad in goal, Dow, Arsenault and Levesque on D. Rumsey, Mason Fox and Kuzmin up front. 22 players(if Grametbauer needs a few weeks then Leclerc sticks).

They’ll have at least 14F’s to begin season with most likely Pelletier out injured & Hudson suspended, 2 games remaining

Gaudreault has been traded to Victoriaville. Moncton gets a 2019 10th round pick. Bascially swapped Gaudreault for Gray ... 10th round pick involved in both deals ...

Jacob Arsenault traded to Sherbrooke. Moncton gets a 2019 7th round pick. Pretty good return. Seems the obvious cuts now are Levesque and Dow.

My understanding is that Kuzmin will be placed on waivers tomorrow, so we can unofficially remove him from the training camp roster. With the Arsenault trade and the release of Jacob Levesque and Stephen Fox, here is what's left:
Goaltenders (4):
Mark Grametbauer Francis Leclerc Alec MacDonald Charles-Antoine Lavallee
Defense (8):
Gabriel Sylvestre Jonathan Aspirot Simon Le Coultre Jack Tucker Tristan De Jong Jordan Spence Sean Stewart Sam Dow
Forwards (17):
Brady Pataki Jeremy McKenna Mika Cyr Adam Capannelli Dylan Seitz Alex Khovanov Anderson MacDonald Jacob Hudson Ozzie King Jaden Mason Jakob Pelletier Kyle Foreman Jacob Stewart Mark Rumsey Zach Alchorn Elliot Desnoyers Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier

So Ozzie King's chance of cracking the roster is really good huh? Where would you see him in the lineup?
