Lots of offensive talent on this team ... solid goaltending ... will be interesting to see where it all leads.
Reffing both games this weekend IMO was bad ... that said, discipline is an issue and some of the penalties the Cats took were dumb ... need to clean that up.
Desnoyers is impressive for a 16 year old - going to be a good one.
Spence is amazing for a 17 year old rookie - hard to believe he went undrafted just over a year ago. IMO, he is our best d-man by far at the moment, surprisingly solid in his own end.
Le Coultre, like other offensive d-men before him, seems destined to be a fan whipping boy ... and perhaps deservedly so. He can make a great play one moment, and then a completely brain dead one the next. Will likely end up being a 50 point d-man, and those don't grow on trees.
Disappointed to see the coaching staff play a short bench this early in the year ... basically play 9 forwards and four D most of the game, the third D pair gets some ice, but the 4th forward line is lucky to get more than one shift per period. It is a long season, and sooner or later, we will have injuries, suspensions, etc.; plus with the younger guys you want them playing so they improve for next year ... shouldn't be coaching every game of the season like it is game 7 of a playoff series IMO.

Big Win ! Great Comback , where are all the posters ? Like I said when the wildcats lose , lots of posts , but when they are playing well , nothing ! To bad there are so many negative posters on this site ! I want to hear from Captain Obvious who seems to have disappeared ? Where are you ? I don't think you'll ever see me on here after a home game ... not immediately anyway. I had dinner waiting on the table when I got home (my wife is the best) and then we watched a movie. Sorry that coming on here to post wasn't in my plans. I didn't know that you depend on it to get through your day. But the game was great. We outworked Rimouski for most of the game ... and especially in the 3rd when we came back for the win. This is pretty much the same Rimouski team that we beat in the playoffs last season and they have a work ethic problem ... lots of talent but not a lot of character. Starzomski was brutal and seemed to have it out for Moncton ... but Langille was pretty good I felt. Langille however did make a few soft calls that seemed to try to make up for Starzomski's BS. I saw them have a conversation at one point and Langille seemed to be telling Starzomski to "get in the game", and then Starzomski was fine from that point forward, and maybe a little tougher on Rimouski from then on. Solid efforts from just about everybody. I was disappointed that Ozzie King's goal was credited to Foreman when it was clearly King that tipped it. They never announced the scoring change but the game sheet has King as the scorer. Not the ideal scenario for your first Q goal. King never seemed to see the ice after that but was on the bench. I love a fourth line goal.

I was quite surprised to see that King didn't really see any ice in the 3rd, considering that he scored a goal and has great speed he's certainly not someone I worry about defensively. With Le Coultre he is far more exposed when hes in the top 4 playing all situations. In the #5 role is when he's at his best, contributing on the PP and carrying the puck into the offensive zone. He's taken his offensive game to another level this season, but his hockey IQ gets him into trouble. With the offense we had I wouldn't say its too crazy of a prediction that he ends up with 50 pts. Everyone will be glad to get DeJong back into the lineup, props to Ritchie & the scouting staff for finding him.

They also need to do something though about these 3 minute reviews after EVERY goal. Man those really kill momentum shifts. So these delays after every goal are reviews? If so, who is asking for them? I thought each team only got 1 challenge, if the challenge is upheld they keep the challenge. The first game or two at the Avenir Center, I thought maybe they were getting used to the scoreboard, and that was causing the delays. But we're several games in now, the learning curve should be over - anyone else notice the 18 minute penalty on the clock at the beginning of the third period on Saturday night?.

Oh - somehow I missed that. Seems kind of extreme - I would not think that most, or even many, goals would require review.

This is the first game I remember it being glaringly obvious that the fourth line and third D pairing weren't seeing much ice. I guess they just really wanted to get the win today over a good team which I don't have a problem with. I don't think it's been that extreme for the majority of other games so far. Also looking at the next three games on the schedule there shouldn't be any issue with rolling four lines and three defence pairings in those so that may have played into the thinking as well.

He's talking about you being one of the negative posters, figure it out bud And you proved the point by only pointing out negatives in a very entertaining game. Pretty sad How is that sad? There are positives and negatives in any game. If everybody was a pom pom waving fan it would be quite boring. Sad is you seem to go out of your way to find negatives. And you say there's positives and negatives but you have only said negative so far. Figure it out Absolutely no problem with fans getting excited, not sure how you find that boring? What sort of bass ackwards pagentry are you running?

Sunday’s game was one of the best Wildcats game I have seen in a long time. They showed really great character to come back and get the win. First period was infuriating because of Starzomski. Aspirot lost his shit, with good reason I thought. He made a good hit on a Riki player, and Bowman took a run at him. At the last second, Aspirot spun off the hit but if Bowman would have connected, Aspirot would have been hurt-no question. He spent the next couple of shifts trying to put a big hit on Riki, and when he did hit someone(it was a borderline hit) he got a penalty, and then the extra 2 for yapping at the call. He went and talked to the ref after he got out of the box, and I’m sure the conversation was about the no call on Bowman. Starzomski also let a Riki player cross check Khavanov 3 times in the back with no call, but called Khavanov when he slashed the player on the thigh as he was skating away. All this to say that I was glad that tempers were cooled during the first period intermission, mine included. Reffing was equally bad/fair the rest of the way. Can’t say enough good things about Desnoyers. He did all the work on the boards to setup the fourth? goal. The kids a beast on the boards already at 16-a future Jerome Samson? For the love of God, don’t trade Pelletier, Desnoyers, Spence, or Lavallee at Christmas. This is our core to build around. Don’t f*** with it

Don’t f*** with it I would like to see them move 3-4 big names and build for 2020 and 2021. As you said they have a strong core of 16 year olds. Get some 16 and 17 year olds in those deals or even as futures at the draft.
