I think we should wait and see where we are at Christmas after playing a tougher schedule. They are winning now and are deep up front , the defence could use more depth but are getting the job done, goaltending has been good and Lavalle is getting experience, I think we have a very good team and wouldn’t mess with the chemistry, if a good depth defenceman or faceoff guy can be added without giving away much then pull the trigger but, Moncton does not seem to do well in trades since 2009 when I started following them .
Let them play and see how they do , as long as Rumble keeps playing the rookie’s on a regular shift and giving them more ice time when injuries or players are away , I think we will be a tough team to play against come playoff time.
There is an old saying “If it ain’t broke don’t fIx it “ as a season ticket holder I’m excited about this years team !

I have more trust with Ritchie in terms of trades, the Leclerc trade has worked out pretty well so far. Hard to say how Grametbauer would have worked out but Leclerc has won some games on his own already. Given that he is the interim GM I don't see him rocking the boat with any huge trades, but keeping it simple its something this franchise has needed for a few years now. We are already seeing how that looks with the 2018 draft.

We are already seeing how that looks with the 2018 draft. Yes! I love what the interim GM has done so far-the Cats Draft 2018 is shaping up to be the best draft they’ve had since 2001. And I think you’re right-probably no big moves as long as he’s the Interim GM, and that works out perfectly. Let these guys develop properly, and then see what you’ve got. Seeing good progress/development from virtually all players so far. I wonder how much more relaxed the coaching staff is during games now that RKI is no longer directly behind the bench? Having him across the ice up in the Cats box, instead of at ice level trying to “coach the coach” must be better for players and coaching staff

Off topic Saw Aspirot get hit beginning of the first, never came back I think Aspirot might have played another shift after the hit? Definitely didn’t play 2nd and 3rd. You could tell he was hurt after the hit. He really got crunched into the boards from the side on the hit-wonder if he hurt ribs, side, or shoulder or if there was head contact. Anybody get a clear view of the hit and/or hear a reliable update on his status for tomorrow’s game against the Moose? We’ll be in tough if we’re short both him and LeCoultre again. Call up Dow?

If this isn't the Wildcats year then they need to trade McKenna at Christmas. He most likely won't be back next year and in a Mem Cup Host year he could garner a king's ransom. What's wrong with the fans in Moncton? Brand new building, first place team, most exciting young D-man in the Q and the top scoring line in the league yet only 3,800 on a Friday night?? I would hazard a guess most casual fans have no idea who Jordan Spence is. People tend to overestimate the "casual fan" If you go look at crowds late October/November from last year attendance is still on par or better for every game. Some examples below. 27 2017-10-27 Val-d'Or 2 Moncton 5 FINAL 3321 Game Centre Moncton Coliseum 132 2017-10-28 Victoriaville 3 Moncton 6 FINAL 3930 Game Centre Moncton Coliseum 170 2017-11-08 Baie-Comeau 2 Moncton 3 FINAL 3021 Game Centre Moncton Coliseum Most on here seemed to be going with the doom & gloom that there will be no one in the building because of gridlocked traffic and no where to park, which hasnt been the case whatesoever. In fact I am home from the game faster than I was at the coliseum. Then they made a 3-4 page thread going off about security..completely laughable. Going through security takes a matter of seconds and has no impact on my experience. Expecting 5000 fans for a hockey game in November in Moncton against Valdor is just expecting too much, doesnt matter what the arena is. Crowds will pick up closer to christmas and afterwards, as the last 20+ years has always shown. The key with this building was always the additional revenue from corporate boxes, which have mostly been full throughout the season so far, along with a better fan experience and options before and after the game to spend money. I am one of the biggest supporters of this project since the start and the crowds have been what I expected, slight increase due to increased season ticket sales, and corporate suites mostly full. Attendance this year was expexcted to be about 1,000 higher on average than last year, due to the new building plus, so far, how the team is doing.

RKI was there for the last part and boasted how there would be no less than 5,500 fans at each game Definitely an unrealistic expectation to see a fanbase jump by over 1500 fans per game. They are getting the increase Ive expected so far. Due to higher season ticket sales the 3600 mark is likely as low as youll see. Crowds will pick up around christmas & beyond like every year has taught us. Season ticket holders increasing by 20% doesnt mean walkups will as well. Many walkups would have converted to season ticket holders. Overall thats still positive for the Cats as that means they get more money up front & there isnt as many "freebies". Ticketmaster is a bigger issue so far than anything else people were worried about . Due to high fees the cheapest promo they've been able to do so far is $10 tickets.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge supporter of McKenna, but I’m just not sure he’ll be playing pro next year. Being undrafted, and snubbed from the Qmjhl Russia series just doesn’t seem like an absolute lock to be gone next year. Assuming we stay relatively hot heading into Christmas I don’t think there’s any reason to blow it up by trading one of your top 3 forwards.

If your team was in first place with one of the best records , good special teams, why on earth would you trade away one of your best players ? Moncton continues to find ways to win with everyone one on the team stepping it up including the rookies. How can anyone say that they should go for it next year or in 2 years ?

Can’t see Pelletier or Spence being moved , Moncton should only make depth moves if they make any moves at all, the price will be very high this year , and they are playing well

Strong teams are nowhere near as strong as they'll be once they load up, and the Cats have only had a few games against decent teams. Yeah they played a solid road game yesterday against a top team with a bunch of key guys missing, but we have to see this on a regular basis before drawing too many conclusions. We've seen the scenario play out many times where the Cats overachieve in the first 2 months, then revert to mid-pack by December. Tough to predict if this will be the case this year, but the next month will be a good measuring stick with a bunch of games against the likes of BAC/DRU/BLB/CHI/SHE rather than SJ/Bathurst every second game. If they're still on top in a month from now, then it might be time to change course and consider adding.
