What a rollercoaster of emotions & a heartbreaking finish.
While there was lots to be learned from the Cats played a hell of a game & kept up with the Drakkar the entire 60 minutes.
Khovanovs passes were worth the price of admission tonight.

What a fantastic game. Cats deserved this one tonight. They just couldn’t buy any breaks around the net. 3 or 4 posts early plus BC blocked probably 30 shots. Cats badly miss Pelletier’s presence in front and Spence moving the puck around and the point, but what can ya do... everybody stepped it up and they just came up short on the puck luck. They put a physical beating on the Drakkar though which could pay off later.
BC is also making sure to get their shots in after the whistles. Especially in scrums in front of the net. Cats showed great composure.

cats played a great game , no puck luck, great effort , everyone is stepping it up, Desnoyes is really starting to turn into a great player did not look out of place for a rookie ! can't wait to see him for the next couple of years. Getting Pelletier and Spence back would be huge !

Here's the almost goal in OT No overhead shot by Rogers Imagine the shit show if Baie Comeau takes off with that puck and scores. The play should have been blown dead. The ref can't signal a goal and then change his mind. If you signal a goal, that's intent to blow the whistle. Great game by the Cats. They came so close to winning that you almost feel like they needed to win it. Not sure they can replicate that performance 3 more times but I hope I'm wrong again! The refs didn't decide the game by any means but it's really annoying when they are inconsistent. They miss blatant calls and then make a weak call to make up for it. P.S If you have sensitive ears, there is about 500 empty seats near the top behind either net. Don't sit 4 rows behind the bench and then complain that it's too loud. |

Rumour at the rink was that he would play game 4 if Moncton lost game 3.

No ... the call on the ice is whatever the Ref decides it is. His last call was no goal. He is allowed to change his call ... you just don't see that very often. |

Whoever wins tonight wins the series I'm not sure if you know this or not.... but in many hockey leagues (Including the Q) it's a best of 7 series, not a best of 3. You need FOUR games to win a series. So, let's do the math together here: Moncton wins: 1 - (4-1 = 3 more wins) Drakkar wins: 2 - (4-2 = 2 more wins) Sorry to burst your bubble, lots of hockey left to be played |

Cats showed great composure. BC must not have scouted the cats, they scored twice with McKenna being wide open with under 4 minutes left. Strange part is, in OT they had him on his strong side, not his off wing. |

I think he anticipated the puck going in, that's why he started making the goal signal, then Aucoin intervened at the last instant. They have the overhead view on replay and waved it off in 10 seconds, so it must be the right call. Weird that rogers is not allowed that view. |
