Did not expect to hear Saint John won. Lawrence, Burns, Drover, Cajkovic, Stairs, Villeneuve, Poirier, DesRoches, and then possibly Joshua Roy? Your core is going to be absolutely INSANE now. Holy shit. 2020-21 is looking good as hell. Not to mention the 6th overall Import pick, who will most likely be 2002-born. I'm guessing Filip Prikyl's time in Saint John is over then?

It was reported in the Telegraph Journal last week that the Sea Dogs plan to use that pick and plan on having Cajkovic back and Prikryl will be going back to Europe to play next year.

I would have considered any upgrade from the #5 spot a good day but getting #1 is very lucky!
It sounds like Roy is the consensus #1 pick. I assume he's committed to the Q and willing to report to whoever drafts him? Is there any reason to be concerned about whether or not he'd report?

How Pissed are you if you're a Wildcats fan......๐๐๐ I know we all would be if the roles were reversed. Seeing SJ's only ball being picked first must have really sucked for more reasons than 1. Not only did that mean that their closest rivals get the top pick instead of them, but it left them with the worst possible odds that they could have had for #2, which of course resulted in them dropping to #3. At least the pick wasn't their own and they didn't have to suffer through a miserable season. That probably makes it hurt a little less than it otherwise would have.

Absolutely, I guess what makes it worse for them is that this is the second time in a few years that theyโve had the best odds of getting first overall and didnโt. Then to see youโre rival get another top rated 16 year old would be very frustrating!

So, with 3 1st rd picks in 2020 what would it take to upgrade to a high 1st rd 2019?

So, with 3 1st rd picks in 2020 what would it take to upgrade to a high 1st rd 2019? Imo, getting two good 20s, a solid 19 D and a late 1st would be more cost effective. The player we could get at 14-18 could be the player we would risk taking at 6-7.

Does anyone know what the rumoured deals with BC and Drum (or others) are at the draft?

Question is what would it cost to upgrade to 2019?

In those 2 lotteries the Wildcats had the best odds to have one of their balls picked 4X and not once did one of their balls get picked. Your frustration is understandable. This will be the Sea Dogs 6th time picking #1 over all. We've had as many misses as we've had hits.

From what I hear, 2 more 20s are already bought and paid for as long as D'Orio is back in the Q next year. 3 1sts in 2020 is very interesting! All 3 seems like trade bait.
