I've heard that Sacha Roy, Brendan Sibley and Yohan Plamondon all chose to stay home and they are likely to play Junior A close to their homes. I'm quite sure that the Sea Dogs will make a statement tomorrow (or Monday) about departures and cuts. Anthony Cliche, Cade DeStefani and possibly Robert Orr will likely head home today. When did or does the 48 hour mark go into effect for players to lose NCAA elegibility? I see that Cliche is supposed to be in the lineup tonight. I wonder if they made him promises to make the team. He looked pretty good the two times that I saw him. The d core will be young if he sticks 4 17s and a 16. If a player wants to stay, he can stay, he just needs to cut a cheque for the billet costs after day 2, which the teams charge a very nominal fee for. Kids who leave after 48 hours are just not interested in being there after 2 days, or they are misinformed about the NCAA eligibility rules.

He can stay and pay his way to stay eligible....but participating in exhibition games against other teams will violate eligibility.

Haven’t seen Patenaude play yet in person , but the amount of time the team put in to getting him eligible for the Q i would be shocked if he’s not the backup to start the year

I think his international experience has been a big plus for him and I feel confident in saying the future in SJ between the pipes is bright!

Sacha Roy would have served the Role of Protector of your 16 and 17 year olds very well .......but then again the League has pretty much wiped this type of play / player out .

Sea dogs have signed D Kale McAllum That is great news. I was very impressed with Kale McCallum in the scrimmages. The defence core is very young but the skill level is impressive. As these guys mature physically and experience wise, this could be an incredible group.

Sea dogs have signed D Kale McAllum I was wondering that as he played last night with Villeneuve during the blue/white game. Did not look to out of place.

Interesting to see Riley Bezeau playing today as if I recall, he left after 48 hours last year

Justin Pace is also expected to dress which would end any NCAA for him too

Anyone have any feedback on today’s game? I wouldn't read too much into today's results, especially since Charlottetown brought their B squad. I continue to be impressed by Dawson Stairs and Alex Drover. Charles Savoie really stood out again for me. Kale McCallum and Alex Belisle were very good as well. It seemed that Joshua Roy felt more comfortable with C-A Dumont - his teammate in Levis - along with Savoie or Belisle. It was especially nice to see the McCluskey brothers play well and connect for a lovely goal. I hope Connor Richard is OK. Hamel really caught him with his head down. I thought the hit warranted a penalty but I could be wrong there.
