I wonder how many from this list will be part of trades made at Xmas?

I wonder how many from this list will be part of trades made at Xmas? I can definitely see Julien Hebert traded at Christmas. I think a team will call about Jeremy Berube. He’s off to a decent start in Junior A.

I wonder how many from this list will be part of trades made at Xmas? Probably Hebert since he holds the most value. I’m not sure whether anyone else would be particularly sought after in trades. Maybe Berube is traded to a team for a late pick so that he gets a chance in the Q

Maybe one plus a 2nd to upgrade Huntley for a better OA or a solid 3rd liner.

I hope they can use some of these prospects in deals, rather trade them than all of our future picks. Likely some of both... If I was to put value on their trading chips: -L’heureux(now or as futures)(likely untouchable) -Pelletier as futures -Desnoyers(now) -Lavallee(now) -Spence as futures -2021 1st rounder(Mon) -Hebert(2003) -Parent(2002) -2020 2nd(Cha) -2020 2nd(Mon) -Langlois(2002) -Pavan(2003) -2020 3rd(Bat) -LeBlanc(2003) -Pilotte(2003) -Desrosiers(2003) -2021 2nd(Mon) or 2020 3rd(Mon) -Hudson as futures My guess is, if they go "all in" they likely use about half those assets.

If you take out the 2 Euros, we only have 2 impact 19 year olds.(Rodrigue and Hudson). If the Cats play this smart, they could contend this year and give it a good run next year. They would need to hope Lavallee takes the next step and hit 2 home runs in the Euro draft but building a team around Pelletier,Spence, Desnoyers, L'Heureux, etc is not out of the question.
There's a lot of ifs for next year though so I'm all for going all in this year but regardless, I don't think we'll have to worry about not seeing a win a home for a whole calendar year like the poor fans in Bathurst.

Hopefully it’s the second half I think being realistic there's no way the Cats add 2-3 impact players plus a 3rd liner only using the bottom half assets. Chicoutimi if they go all in have 3 1st rounders to use and the Cats don't have one until 2021. I think you keep L'Heureux at all costs as there's really no player hes worth trading for and it'd be nice to see the Cats develop another NHL 1st rounder to build on the reputation. He's a key piece for the next cycle. One thing that should help limit the assets used though is getting back McKenna and Andersson. If that didn't happen 90% of this list was likely going to be needed. In addition if Lavallee continues to play well he should have great value at Christmas. I think you gotta go in expecting that you'll likely deal one of Spence or Pelletier as futures to get a 1st line FW or 1st pairing defenceman. Its important to keep 1 of them to move in a deal next season to recoup picks/prospects to build around L'Heureux. The 2 2nd rounders in 2020 are probably as good as gone too. There's a lot of flexibility here with who you can keep and things definitely look much better than they did in September

Well if they go all in, then I hope they do it right and not half way. If they deal top picks and players now or as futures, it has to be for impact players like Lavoie, Bolduc, Fortier and to a lesser extent a guy like Element I would trade a couple prospects on that list and maybe a 3rd rounder. I don't want to see them trade a lot of great assets for marginal players like a Giguere. type.

Hopefully it’s the second half Unless they are only adding depth pieces to the 3rd line and 3rd pair, it will cost some of the top 7 assets. Any big piece will cost at least one of those pieces. I think they need at least one big piece on D. Up front maybe they can get a 20 goal overager. Adding a FA or two may save assets, 3rd liner or solid depth D.

There's a lot of flexibility here with who you can keep and things definitely look much better than they did in September I would try to add a top pairing 19 year old defenceman (Bouchard) , a top 9 forward (Campbell) and a bottom four defenceman like Horvath. Xavier Bouchard for a 1st 2021 , 2nd 2020 + 3rd + Hebert Campbell for 2nd 2020 + Pavan Horvath for 3rd + 5th I still believe a was a mistake not to acquire this players in the offseason while it was a buyers market, Look at Baker and Kreutzer for example and everyone knew going in we would have to add a defenceman this season, Rodrigue Lavallee Bouchard - Andersson Spence - Huntley DeJong - Horvath Stewart Pelletier - Cyr - McKenna L'Heuruex - Khovanov - Desnoyers Campbell - Hudson - Rumsey Foreman - Daoust - Stewart
