STJ is a really young team and i didn't think it's a good way to carry a lots of youngers guys, especially with a bunch of young guys that can play big role in future (Lawrence, Roy, Stairs, Drove and Burns up front), (Villeneue, Poirier and C.Desroches behind). They need an older guys to help them.

Wasn’t the rumour that he and Georgie didn’t see eye to eye? I don't think there was a whole lot to that rumor. It was mostly just a theory a few people had. But I'm not sure if they would be meeting coaching prospects while still currently having a coach.

Is he still a scout? He was sitting behind me for the game in Section 15 with pen, paper and a game program.

Possible coaches available: Craig McTavish Darren Rumble Paul Boutilier Arno del Curto Jim Midgeley (in Europe but would jump at a chance to come home) We could always keep Jeff Cowan on as an assistant, then hire Chris Chelios and Dave Manson as well. Would fix the lack of a true defenseman to coach the defense, and give us one hell of a tough coaching staff. A Memorial Cup brawl versus the London Knights would suddenly be awesome as our coaches took on the Hunters and Basil MacRae lol. Holy **** this made me laugh out loud. That would be one hell of a staff. And the coaches' brawl would be beyond epic. A LOT of tough PIM's in that group!

This team is a mess special teams are brutal no set breakouts no pp set ups if it wasn't for Poirier rushing the puck 20 times a game we would play the whole game in our end I believe this team has quit on Dixon time to fire the entire coaching staff and then see what you have important Xmas trading coming up

The team looked like they did zero prep for this game. You know going into the game Pare is one of the most dangerous scorers in the league. Yet on the PK everytime he was left wide open on the hash mark ready for the inevitable one timer. He barely moved but was able to get a hat trick. Teams with any kind of structure make us look silly. That was an embarrassing game. Thank god Bouthillier was in net. Anyone else in there it would have been double digits goals against.

Yeah special teams were the difference for the 2nd game in a row. The PP was pretty good at the start of the year when we were losing 7-6 but seems to be struggling now. And if they can't kill penalties then they need to stay out of the box. This obviously is not a team you want to take too many penalties against. I know it's also the type of team that forces you to take penalties but probably about half of them were not necessary.
It's not often we get to see a player as good as Lafreniere still in the league at 18. He's one of the best players in the world right now not playing in the NHL. I didn't notice too much early on but then the power plays started and Rimouski were basically on the power play the rest of the night even when it was 5 on 5, and Lafreniere seemed to get better as the game went along. I imagine Pare will be pro next year the way he's scoring and with so many scouts watching that line.

Like you said I truly believe they have quit on him also. Flynn is a scout now thats why he was at the game so don’t look anything into that. I’m sure management and the owner knows there needs to be a move also and they might be talking to coaches now for all we know. The list above I do like but would any of them come here ?

The rebuild is the rebuild but you need to surround your younger guys with some experience. Georgie should overlook the hockey operations staff but allow a hockey mind to build the team. I do agree they need to revamp the coaching staff. Bring someone in who has experienced success at the pro level, CHL or even the tier 2 level.
