I saw this on twitter this morning and thought it was kind of interesting. With all the success the Dogs have had during this decade they do not have a 500 record during this time. 313 Wins and 331 Losses. Denis Demers @lhjmq_hdd8 Here is the famous ranking @lhjmq since 2010-11. The decade of the @armadablb with its 5 division championships. Or that of @sjseadogs and his 3 League titles. Or simply that of the @oceanicrimouski who maintained the best% of Wins (0.576)! What do you think? That was actually my thought about it, that this chart was more embarassing than impressive for the Dogs. This chart covers 9.5 seasons, with 4 division titles, you wouldn't even need to be average for 5.5 seasons to still have well above a .500 win percentage. I'm not sure why a team that won 4 division titles, including 3 championship seasons, would be expected to be average in the other 5.5 seasons though. The idea is to be at or near .500 in the long-run including years in which you contend. They had 2 peaks which, as everyone expected, were followed by a couple of rebuilding seasons each. When 4 of the remaining 5.5 seasons are rebuilding years, it makes it pretty tough to be average during that period. The Sea Dogs still fall short of the .500 mark during this somewhat arbitrarily selected time period but I'm not sure I would say it is to an embarrassing extent. It's also worth noting that if they had gone back a little further, like used a full decade for example, then the Sea Dogs would be well over .500. This time 10 years ago, they were in the midst of their franchise record 20+ game winning streak and won the regular season title that season.

No one remembers division winners. If you're not first you're last!

Would you rather Blainville's stat line or Saint John's? At the end of the day it’s about winning championships, winning regular season doesn’t mean shit in my opinion.

I agree with you that me as a fan would rather win championships but where are the fans then. Will they all come back? Would they still be coming out if we were playing on average above 500 and never have losing records but lose in the 2nd or 3rd round regularly?

No one remembers division winners. If you're not first you're last! Your friends do remember when you're too much of a punk ass bitch to go to MMA though. MOD EDIT: Attachment removed, rule 4.
