Great first step by Seadogs. Cowan is a great man, great teacher and well respected by his players. Give him a chance to show what hes got, and how the players react to him. Next big step is management...They keep blaming the coaches....time for clean up up stairs..

Who keeps getting fired?? coaches.
Who keeps drafting and making empty promises to these kids?? Management
And how does management keep there jobs?? fire the coaches or blame the players.

Ok, I understand now. Danny Flynn had no interest in a rebuild, so I wouldn’t say he was fired. And Dixon was given two and a half years, with results below expectations of management. Two coaches over the last five years, one of which was fired. They keep getting fired? I don’t really have much of a problem with management, other than a coaching change should have been made sooner. But that’s just me. I’m eager to see how the boys do with Cowan at the helm. |

Based on previous posts throughout the board it isn't hard to tell that Hockeywatcher is close with one of the depth players from the Moncton area. |

There are lots of self stylized "experts" with what they think is insider knowledge (ie some disgruntled parent whining to whomever because there super star kid with 3 points isn't getting enough ice time). Man it gets old.

Yup, I remember that being the narrative that the anti-Georgie witch-hunters were spinning at the time, but never heard or saw a shred of evidence to back it up. What I heard (and I'm not saying it's fact) is that the 2 sides simply couldn't agree to terms on his contract renewal. While I'm not saying it is fact, it certainly makes a lot more sense given the timing of his departure (right before training camp). |

My goodness, this game is fun to watch.
A PK that pressures, D going after pucks first, a forecheck, playing Lehmus and McCallum regular shifts all game.
The last time I was this excited was preseason (when Cowan coached iirc)
