Should be a good test for both teams, especially now that moncton is ranked 6th and cape breton 7th in the CHL top ten this week, both teams should have something to prove .
Looking at the eagles roster and stats they have scoring depth and size, will be tough for moncton to contain them , wish I was able to see the game here sat nite.

The Cats main issue so far is giving up a lot of quality chances to the top scoring teams. They have a team that can score a lot but not as good at defending. Part of that will be adding a shutdown D if Aspirot stays pro, they will need to better manage the puck in their end and neutral zone. A lot of wins lately have been by 1 goal where Rodrigue had to play big.

Well period 1 went well !! What happened?!? Won’t complain about that. Hopefully they don’t get complacent for the next two periods.

What happened?!? Won’t complain about that. Hopefully they don’t get complacent for the next two periods. They Didn't ........... They did so ... they let up and Torchetti was subbing in 4th liners on the top two lines. They weren't skating nearly as hard in periods 2 and 3 as they did in period 1. CB also let up a little though after Moncton scored their 8th ... and after the 10th it became more chippy and CB was more interested in inflicting pain than scoring more goals. I don't think anybody here thinks CB is as weak as they appeared in this game ... just an off night and I expect a much tighter game on Saturday ... probably a game that goes to OT.

Couple questions for those that watched/CB fans.
1-was Grimard as bad as his stats line?
2-why would he start ahead of Madnolese?

Obviously, I have no idea about the exact reasons for Grimard starting and I didn’t watch the game, but I’d assume it’s because they wanted to split the games between the goalies this weekend since Mandolese played Tuesday against Halifax. Probably thought it would be easier to play at home than away too. Also, it seems Grimard has played against a bunch of the good teams already. He’s played both games against Moncton and the game against Rimouski. Obviously two of those games went bad for him, but it seems like they’re still giving him a shot. On that note, do we expect to see Rodrigue start again on Saturday?

Grimard wasn't that bad ... the Cats were just scoring on all of their chances. We scored some nice goals and not many of them were the fault of goaltending. There were a few bad ones but not more than 3 or 4. Replays are up on the gamesheet now ... theqmjhl.ca/gamecentre/27445/boxscore

Three of our next 5 games are against the bottom 2 teams in the Q so he'll probably get at least two starts over that stretch.

Yeah, the highlights they show after the first period just shows both teams seemingly just going through the motions. It’s just highlights so obviously I could be wrong. I expect CB to come out hard on Saturday. Hopefully Moncton has the same urgency.

It's easy to tell from the highlights that this team is playing with a ton of confidence & creativity right now. Nice to see goals coming from 8 different players last night. Hopefully they can carry this confidence over the entire season.

I have no issues with the goaltending and offense, but they will need to cut down on the amount of high quality chances they give up. They Are 5th in GAA and very good on the PK, but have relied on a lot of great games from Rodrigue and CAL so far.
When I talk defense it’s not just adding a d-man, it’s getting better defensive play and puck management from the forwards also.

Personally, while Rodrigue has been solid, I don't think I'd say he has had "a lot of great games" ... he is just a steady and consistent guy back there. CAL has shown a good step forward from last year but he typically gets the weaker opponents, but he did last year also.
