A little off topic but Craig Button L'Heureux ranked the 11th OA and top Q prospect for 2021 draft after viewing the u17's. I think that backs up the popular opinion that he will be off the table at the at the trade period. I don’t think he’s untouchable, I just think he’s very valuable and will only be traded for one of the big guys of which there are very few. |

I don’t think I would go after MacIsaac, he had a big knee surgery and has not played for months , there must be a better option . My thinking as well and they will want an overpay from the Cats. Ideally Aspirot comes back, but whether he does or not and they still want to add to the D, then maybe Bolduc or Bouchard, someone like that would be cheaper and possibly a better fit. I don't think his surgery will factor into their decision to acquire McIsaac. They only realistically need him for the playoffs and by then this surgery will be an afterthought. The cost is what would deter them. If by some miracle Aspirot gets sent down, then McIsaac becomes that much more desirable to the Cats. They would want to have the best top 4 possible and with McIsaac, Andersson, Spence & Aspirot that would be lethal. 2 top pairings, so not much minutes left for a weaker 3rd pair. Add an Element to this team as well and we are favorites for a trip to the memorial cup. Cost would most definitely be high, but worth it. |

Is there a Trade where a where a 16 YO of L'Hereux's calibre was traded? 1.5 seasons of Joe Veleno was valued at 3 1sts and 2 2nds. 3 seasons of L'Heureux would have to be valued well higher than that. Would Halifax trade 2 key assets for L'Heureux? am I way off base with my thinking? |

His value is likely only to come down (hopefully not much), so while I wouldn’t go out looking to trade him, I would definitely listen to offers if they were good. |

Some sort of deal involving a forward, a d-man, and a goalie, with the return being a combo of Lavallee and perhaps Desnoyers or L'Heureux. If L'Heureux is involved, it can't just be for a rental player, would have to be for an 18 year old that would return next year and provide us an asset going forward.

I think Groulx would be a better fit for the Cats. Gives you a guy that brings jam, 2 way game and can win faceoffs. They already have a guy similar to Lavoie in McKenna. I think Groulx brings what the Cats like...but Lavoie on Khovanovs wing with Pelletier is a hell of a fit... And i really hate having 3 lefties on the same line when there are Lavoie quality rw available. It is especially ideal if he is only willing to go to Moncton. I can't see Lavoie in a Wildcats Uniform though. Can't see Khovanov setting him up on the PP. Can't see them in the same huddle after a goal. But hey, Jack O'Callahan played on the same team as Rob Mcclanahan and that worked out. |
