Sean Stewart played a strong game last night as did Dejong ... Huntley seemed to struggle last night. Desnoyers also had a strong game and is starting to become more noticeable out there ... he looks physically stronger. Getting tired of the Referees ignoring every infraction that happens on Khovanov. I get it why they do it ... he embellished almost nightly last season ... but it is corrupt. Defensemen are allowed to make mistakes but why would you bother mentioning that Dejong played a strong game? He was solely responsible for Charlottetown's first goal. He should have had all 5 minuses on that one. Next period he threw a blind backhand pass in front of his own net and Rodrigue had to make a big save. I wasn't going to mention him but I had to say it after you mentioned him. Andersson made a couple of bone head plays with a little over a minute left but played great before that. He's close to scoring, wouldn't be surprised to see him get one tonight or Sunday. To your Khovanov point, the Wildcats have the second least amount of PPs in the league. Other teams seem to get away with A LOT on all our guys, especially Khovanov who as you mentioned, kinda asks for it with his dives. Speaking of power play, it's hard to critique it since it's the 2nd best in the league but why do they rarely put Mckenna on his off wing? They insist on putting him in the middle of the ice but he gets easily shut down. If you had him playing off wing you could have Khovanov setting him up for one timers. Yesterday Khovanov made 2 beauty passes to Pelletier in that spot and he missed them both because he's a left handed shot. Mckenna has one of the best shots in the league and we aren't maximizing his opportunities. All Dmen are going to make mistakes ... give-aways happen to everybody on the ice but a Dman giving it away usually blows up bigger than a forward giving it away. Everybody took on more ice time last night with Spence out of the game early ... Anderson was out there a ton. I thought Dejong and Stewart stepped up well but each had their mistakes ... but I didn't think Huntley had a good night (he is far better than what he showed), but he has been much better this year than he was last year. That's the way I saw the game ... you apparently saw it different. Wilson is a nice looking player and had his moments but he is very raw. He seems to have good confidence with the puck though.

Typical Langille reffed game... this guy constantly calls soft penalties against the 'Cats, then lets obvious infractions go for the other team. Khovanov seems to be his target most of the time. Moncton also gets sub-par officiating whenever Doiron does the lines; maybe he is bad mouthing the 'Cats in the dressing room before the game and the refs have it in their heads before the game.

Khovanov's grief comes from all the embellishing he did last year, which he has mostly ceased this year. The Ref's lablelled him as a faker because he was, and they stopped calling the stuff that happens to him. I don't see that same thing happening with anybody else on our team. The Refs do miss stuff from time to time ... or see it differently than I do ... but with Khovanov its blatantly on purpose to apparently teach him a lesson. How long does this lesson last ? I have no real issue with the penalties that get called against Khovanov as he deserves most of them.

Moncton makes the trip across the bridge for a 3pm game today.
All indications point to a Wildcats defenseman making their QMJHL debut this afternoon.

Has Khovanov been suspended before? I don't expect you'll see him for at least a couple of games. He went after somebody (maybe Casey?) after the game was over, and got a major and a match for biting.

Casey could be gone a while too. Isn’t it automatic suspension for leaving the bench to participate in an altercation?
It used to be 10 automatic but I think they changed that.
Imama got 15 a few years ago for leaving the bench to start an altercation.

I know that Charlettetown really played well and pressured all night...but something seemed "off" with all the boys..but specifically Khovanov...i kept thinking about what must go on begind the scenes....then at the end of the game...pfff. When your best player does this it must be tough to control the dressing room... I hope im wrong .

It’s too bad, he’s been more disciplined lately, but that went out the window Sunday. He might not play again till January. Casey likely gets 10 games.

Imama got 15 a few years ago for leaving the bench to start an altercation. I watched the game ... no Islander left the bench to join an altercation. Their entire team left the bench because the game was over and they won, to go congratulate their goaltender, which is permitted. But there were 20 Islander players on the ice and only 6 Wildcat players, and I'm pretty sure our goaltender did not participate ... nor did Welsh. Shortly after that, you see Pelletier latch onto Casey for a reason I could not tell, but it looked like he was trying to stop something from escalating, and then things went from there. Khovanov was down on the ice on his back with somebody on top of him so expect if he bit somebody it happened then. I was watching online so could only see what the camera showed, so feel free to correct anything that I have stated incorrectly.
