The Lapierre to Gat part is at the draft next year as futures...in the rumor I heard. Is it even a real rumor? Or are we talking about an idea tossed around on a podcast here? It was discussed by the Quebec "insiders" I think, so it has some legs. Does not make it a done deal but interesting. |

I haven’t seen anything other than someone spit balling it on a podcast and now it’s a “rumour” but I also haven’t looked into that hard to find if it’s true or not because I frankly don’t care. If it’s true, I’m sure we will see in 2 days. As far as people not usually making 3-way trades up... I would disagree. It doesn’t take long on other forums/in searching for rumours to see people throwing around 3-way deals that they think would be fits for teams. They often seem believable too because the pieces fit what each teams after... at the pro level though, they’re usually non-sense. Since this is the Q, there’s definitely an opportunity for it to be real. |

It's been posted already that it was made up and a legit media guy looked into it. What "usually" takes place has nothing to do with this particular "rumor" we are discussing and how legit it is. It's literally exactly the same as the Drover/Gravel dot connecting. Unless you can show where legit Quebec insiders were discussing it. |

One guy that would be nice to bring in is Mark Hillier if they can convince him to forego his NCAA. That in a way would help the rebuild, they may end up trading him in 1 1/2 years but if he is a strong asset, he could get them key pieces back.
