Three Wildcats prospects were selected in today's Maritime Hockey League draft.
Ethan Dollemont - 4th round 39th overall to Grand Falls
Giovacchino DiMattia - 5th round 51st overall to Grand Falls
Nathan Casey - 9th round 103rd overall to Fredericton
Casey's father Brian is the Head Coach for the Fredericton Red Wings.

Interesting article from Acadie Nouvelle's Robert Lagace. It can be found here. It talks about Cloutier, Loshing, Hopkins, Rozzi, Iasenza, Casey and Katz as being a huge part of the rebuild. Cam Lund plans to be at camp with the intention of making the team. 2019 American draft pick Colin Ronan plans to be at camp too. He was teammates with Lund at Cushing Academy. I think there's a good chance Nolan Hayes comes too. Another Cushing Academy player. The plan is to select at least one 19 year old forward in the Import Draft. Maybe two. Two noteworthy free agents have been confirmed for camp. Ritchie Thibeau feels the forward will play top 9 and the defenseman will play top 4. The organization is still in discussions with Daniel Lacroix. |

Based on the article it seems like Loshing, Hopkins and Rozzi will all have spots on the roster. I’d assume they would keep 4 16 year olds if Lund wants to stay. I wonder whether the Prep School kids Moncton drafted all plan to go back to the US next year or will be staying home because of COVID. |

In terms of the Euros, I hope they grab the best talent they can get, ideally it would be a 17 year old with upside but drafting that late, there may not be any left. If they can get a good 19 year old, nothing wrong with that, they likely have high Euro picks in 2021 and 2022. |
