Any chance we can land a guy like Lubomir Kupco?

Have they said they are taking a euro goalie?

Bednar went second overall to Bathurst so he’s out.

Could we land Brad Lambert? I think he just signed a contract in Finland for next year so I doubt he comes over. But who knows. I expect a Marek Hrivik quality player. Good player but not a big name guy.

Lambert gone to Saskatoon. Makes sense as I believe he has family there. Probably had the best chance of getting him to report

The surprising part to me is he's only 16. Not much info available about him besides being Ivan's brother I thought they might try and land someone older to help us through this year. a one and done player. We'll see what the next pick gets us.

I'm ok with taking a 19 YO Goalie. If he comes over and can play it gives us the opportunity to open up a 20 YO spot by not using Lund-Cornish.
Roman Will 2.0

What are you basing this on? Almost impossible to tell at this point from just looking at an eliteprospects page.

Roman Will 2.0 It frees up an OA spot up front for Hudson. Anybody have a scouting report on Barbashev's brother? Doesn't seem like a high end prospect but he is only eligible for 2022.

Maxim plays a similar game to Ivan’s. But like you said, he’s not a high end like his brother.

I'm happy with the draft. Considering the circumstances I'm sure it's been a difficult year to make picks.
I'm fine with us a chance on a young guy. He's only 16 so lots of room to grow and we had success with his brother. Picking 50th was going to be difficult to land a name we have heard of, so of course we are relying on Stats only. He might not be high end but maybe he develops with ice time.
And a goalie that can come over for a year and hopefully keep us in games. We should have a higher pick next year so picking a 19 Year old makes sense.
