QMJHL News - Peter Reynolds has de-committed from Boston College and will join the Saint John Sea Dogs. Expect an official announcement as early as today.
Reynolds was ranked as high as 3rd in the 2019 Q draft but fell to SJ at 21 due to college plans.

I am feeling alot better about last years draft now with this news. I have to admit I was very critical of Georgie for all the NCAA guys he was using high picks on. The only thing better now is if he could get Cam MacDonald signed.

I wonder how much of an impact Covid 19 had on his decision. Cam MacDonald would also be a big add. Both are rated as 1st or 2nd round NHL picks.

Well seeing as how there’s basically been rumblings that he was going to end up a Sea Dog for the past year, I have to think it didn’t impact it as much as people on here want to think. This is basically what people have expected since he was drafted. |

Well seeing as how there’s basically been rumblings that he was going to end up a Sea Dog for the past year, I have to think it didn’t impact it as much as people on here want to think. This is basically what people have expected since he was drafted. People outside SJ. The rumblings have never been based on anything more than speculation and/or pettiness. Yeah...all pettiness. No chance it would just be history repeating itself. Has to be pettiness  |

Has to be pettiness I don't think we've ever had a player agree to play here before, but let me go play somewhere else for a year first before I report. To think this was pre-arranged would mean we convinced Reynolds to ditch NCAA right after we drafted him and instead of him playing in the Q right away, we sent him off to the BCHL to make it look like he was still considering NCAA as his first option. Pretty sure that would be a first for us. |

I had been heard from 1 source during this past season that he was guaranteed to be coming in 2020-2021. I heard from another source that he was favoring SJ but it wasn't 100%. Obviously they couldn't both be right since their stories were different but they both pointed in the same general direction. A few other fans I talked to said they heard similar things. All Sea Dogs fans so I assure you there was no pettiness. If anything, it might have been wishful thinking that turned out to be true.
