Looking at the roster in the Islanders site Drew Johnston has been removed not sure if that’s a typo or not.

I am a little confused. I would say as it stands now, odds of Memorial Cup being played, are at best, 50-50. And that;s generous. Some of these big deals must have an out for teams trading away pics, such as Valdor. Will deal be voided if season doesn't resume? OHL has no start date.

WHL is gonna play a short season but they announced tonight a commitment to play a season. Wonder if there still May be a memorial cup?
If the Islanders just stay with what we have now and don’t commit to going all in because of the uncertainty looking at what can be back next year I think this team has potential to be really good. The D core will be absolutely scary and we have some nice picks like Drummondvilles 1st we could trade for a star forward and possibly Plandowski and Gill and futures. Here’s a look at what could be a rough lineup for next year. Forwards Budgell Peach Gill Gallant Boyd Leblanc Oliver Elliott Brabanc (?) Mensik(?)
Defense Laaouan Cormier Plandowski Trudeau Maynard
And Goobie in goal to me that is a strong foundation maybe thin up front but should be balanced not sure if we have any prospects in the ranks that can jump right in at 17 or 18 but if we can start the year next year off with this lineup plus a couple trades for forwards and a 19 year old back up we may be in for a treat to watch all season.

They do seem thin upfront for next year. Depending on whose left in Val Dor at the end of this season, they have a few 2002 born players (Lessard, Doucet, Provost) that might interest Charlottetown. Their defence does look solid for next year. That’s a very good top 4.

On papa er I think it will be the best D core in the league. Also those forwards all bring 1 thing that’s heart I think Jim has enough draft picks in the banks that he can acquire what he needs you add a legit top line forward and a depth forward to that group and they will be a top 5 team next year.

If the Isles were to look to add a scorer Ryan Francis would be the guy I’m after a maritime kid. Is there potential he’s back as a 20 next year?

Would be nice to add one now in case this season eventually gets back on track.

The Isles should have returning 20's in Budgell, Peach, and Laaouan. With regard to next year, I'm not sure their issue will be with 20y/o's. I think Francis would be an excellent add for this year. I would assume the price to be somewhere around a 1st plus a prospect like Oliver. While he is drafted, considering the current state, I do believe there is a good chance he will play in the Q as a 20.

Yeah if they’re gonna dangle the Drummondville 1st and a prospect Like Oliver I’d prefer it to be for a 18 year old!

Especially with Francis possibly not back as a 20.
