You’re right but he’s still an upgrade with potential I’d prefer Ivan Ivan tho I mean as a mooseheads fan I'd 100% be fine with getting an asset for Peeters but he's playing some very uninspired hockey, has only 3 goals and is playing between the 3rd and 4th lines most nights. He's not worth an asset the way he's playing.

Well after last night's game. My wish list 19 yr old goalie to share duties with patendeau 19 yr old shut down d 2 20 yr old top six Euro upgrade Gone lemieux innis burns Victoriaville might be a good target, still a few huge pieces left over from last year that could help. Nicholas Hurtubise be pretty good pieces to add. . How good is Hurtubise? I see that he was the goalie that played well enough to beat a stacked Val d’Or team. Was he generally solid and stole a game here and there or was he just the goalie on a team of destiny? Lemieux was the goalie on a stacked team that failed to meet expectations. How much of that series loss is on his shoulders? I have only seen Lemieux play a few times this year and saw a mixed bag, call it The Good The Bad and The Ugly goalie style. Not sure if they can rely on him or not. And the Dogs may have ruined Patenaude by mishandling him over the past couple of years. Hope he has a great Juniors tournament(if there is one) and he steals back the #1 spot or Georgie trades for a championship caliber goalie, for the Seadogs sake.

No goalie is going to make the team better, does lemieux stink the joint out half the time yes has he played up to expectations no. Maybe TG needs to stop wasting assets on a goalie and fix the real issue. Our D side of the puck. And it starts with moving a couple of the sweethearts. Like burns and Poirier. The dressing room has an awful attitude. How pathetic is it we’re now at xmas on a memorial cup hosting team without a captain . It’s embarrassing , Francis hasn’t lived up to expectations, but again I truly believe it’s the culture in the room and the only way it changes is by moving some of these guys out.

I actually think poirier has really improved the defensive side of his game and on most nights is the best d we have. The problem besides the subpar goaltending is the play of the fwds most scrambles are 3 on 2 or 4 on 2 in front of the net until the fwds buy into playing 2 way hockey this team is going nowhere fast.

No goalie is going to make the team better, does lemieux stink the joint out half the time yes has he played up to expectations no. I agree with this to a certain extent, but every good team needs their goalie to be fundamentally solid and steal a game here and there. Which from the playoff stats last year, Hurtubise did and Lemieux did not. I didn’t see any of the games, so I can’t say if this is accurate or not, but this is what the game summaries suggest. One of our playoff runs in Moncton was ended when our opponents goalie played better than ours. End of story. It’s kind of important to have the right guy between the pipes. As far as everything else you said about dressing room, defence, addition by subtraction, as a neutral observer, I would agree based on what I’ve seen, heard, and read.

If we're going all-in, might as well get Lapenna, Sevigny, Desnoyers, a 20F and a Euro upgrade

His offensive impact makes up for his average defensive play. I strongly agree with burns tho. I’m sure Halifax would take him as a key piece. He will report there as a OA.

he’s a small complimentary player he has good hands and a decent shot. He’s to easy to knock off the puck and probably the biggest defensive liability in the Q also can’t win puck battles All of this is correct, but he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. There is room on a Memorial Cup team for a player like this, but only one. Compare burns to a top 6 player from the London Knights, Oil Kings or Winnipeg. He may not even crack one of those rosters. To be better then them the sea dogs have a very long road ahead of them.

If Burns gets traded it would be as a future at the draft. No way would we trade him to another contender this season and non-contenders wouldn't be willing to pay the asking price for him.
If Halifax has OA spots available for next season then maybe he goes there at the draft as part of a deal for Desnoyers.

Does anyone know if there would be a way to pick up Logan Malioux he’s honestly exactly what the dogs need a big physical shut down RHD. He’s also known as good locker room guy. Obviously fans might not like what happened in Europe but none of the teammates would care. He would definitely help the team on Ice a lot.

The Sea Dogs issues as a team are well known and have been discussed at length. The issues are not because of any single player its the group as a whole. We have to many of the same type of player. Skilled guys that don't battle hard. We will not win with this group. If we add 3 or 4 guys without getting rid of some of the guys we have we will win a round or two but that's it. You can usually get away with having a couple of guys that don't battle hard but not as many as the Dogs have.
And the only ones that don't realize this is Georgie and Stella. Can you imagine them even thinking about adding Dube to this group. WTF!
