Just as we thought the dogs were turning the corner playing good hockey defense was playing great they play one of the worst games of the year I know some people will say 2 pts is 2 pts we were playing a team that the game shouldn't have been close. Goaltending was awful Defense was atrocious Forwards got the puck tried to beat 3 guys turned the puck over again and again and again. This team has to get it together and stop playing selfish hockey. Baie Comeau shouldn't be taken lightly, which I think is what may have happened. They've beaten Quebec, Moncton and Drummondville recently who are all far ahead of them in the standings. On their four game winning streak they outscored opponents 17-3. Their is so much parity in the league this year.

If the rumour is true and Calgary is sending Kuznetsov to us our defense looks alot better.
Kuznetsov villeneuve Poirer innis Desroches drapeau
Day off today so I went through non contenders and possible trades the won that makes most sense is desnoyers and peeters from Halifax we have the pics and futures to get it done.
Dufour Lawrence burns Francis desnoyers peeters Reynolds Macdonald bizeau Pickard Chandler savoie

Not sure it is just a little slump but if the opportunity was there for us to upgrade a Euro spot I would like to grab someone that is having a good year. Also I think we need to bring in another veteran D and have Drapeau as a 7th D-man but he will probably be moved in a trade anyway. Peters stats 2021-22 Halifax Games - 21 Goals - 2 Assists - 7 Points - 9 PIM - 16

Ivan Ivan from Cape Breton would be a good fit on that 2nd line. Don't worry too much about centers vs wingers. Always a good thing to have a surplus of guys that can play center.

Wow a 6'4 puck moving stay at home D for free leaves plenty of assets to get more scoring and grit up front.

He's expected to play at home before going to the WJC. Someone mentioned in another thread that Russian CHL players will be joining camp late. I assume because the camp starts in Russia and CHL guys will join when they come to Canada.

I didn't think this was going to work out for you..... but fortunately for the Sea Dogs, it did.
Kuznetsov is a big, strong man. Part of the reason he would have signed AHL last year was due to his size. He's big and strong enough to play pro hockey. I expect he'll be a very solid addition to your blueline, kind of like when the Wildcats were able to bring in Bruins prospect Axel Andersson a few years ago.
It's nice to be able to add a guy like this for "free".

Saint John is 2-3 stud forwards away from being a powerhouse. I feel like one of the most cost effective ways to improve would be to upgrade on there 20's.

I cant see any of the 20s going anywhere Lemieux up and down year but not many better available goalies out there. Innis stay at home physical D maybe? Francis definitely staying.
4 1sts 4 2nds for pics and lots of futures to get the players they want.
