Take the runors with a grain of salt but so far there have been rumors linking us to Desnoyers, Robidas, Tourigny, and Peeters. If Desnoyers is an add, which 20 is gone? Inniss now that Kuznetsov is here? I caught your season opener this year and was very underwhelmed by Inniss. Expected a lot more from him, being 20 years old, and considering the hype around him from when Rimouski drafted him in the first round a few years ago. His decision making was slow, reacting instead of anticipating. |

Not sure if we need another offensive Dman, but if we can keep him out of the hands of the competition, ok. Rather would see Ivan Ivan instead of Peeters, but maybe he just needs a change of scenery. Would we have the means to pull off these trades? If SNB pulled off the Robidas, in theory, the Desnoyer trade may be very doable. Assuming Halifax likes Robidas, he could be a major piece trade as a future for Desnoyer. |

I was reading the french boards yesterday and some of the shawinagan fans believe they should trade bourgault and bourque and try to contend next year with their strong core of 17and 18 yr olds they do have a losing record against the top teams.
Wouldn't it be awesome to get those too plus desroyners. We do have the pics and futures but do we totally blow up the future for the next 3 to 4 yrs.

Do they go totally all in and go on another 3 or 4 year rebuild. I know Covid is having some impact but attendance has been down the past few years. Can they afford another 3 years of losing. |

To me, you are hosting the Mem Cup. This is the literal time to push all of your chips into the middle. We have a ton of players who could go the other way at the draft to recoup some picks to quickstart the rebuild, and we are sitting on two first and two second-round picks this year and our top 3 round picks in each of the next two years. We have the assets, use them.

I read the rumor but imo they have too many assets to reasonably sell. They are built for this year. I could see them moving a goalie though. |

They're also in an arguably "weaker" division then the east when it comes to more top teams. I still think personally they end up trying to make a run but if they sell oh boy do they have some crazy valuable trade chips lol. Definitely have to jump on it if Bourgault and Bourque become available. |
