I agree Poirier is better defensively this year. Not so sure about Villeneuve though. Maybe I'm putting too much weight on Saturday night's game since it was recent, but that was really bad and was basically the difference between winning and losing that game.

So does anyone know what happened with dube did shaw outbid us or was he in our plans at all. Shawinigan made him an offer as well. If he chooses one and not the other, then BC will trade him to that team (assuming they pay better than a 3rd). If he accepts both, BC takes best offer.

Dube was claimed on waivers by Wheeling Nailers.

Ok who's next on Trevor's list Well if TG is serious about bringing in a 20 year old forward I would seriously ask Val D’Or about acquiring a Jeremy Michel and Alexandre Doucet combo. Paired with say Francis that’s quite a line…..and cheaper than trying for Robidas, which likely isn’t possible if we are seriously chasing Desnoyers from Halifax at the same time.

So now the 20s know their jobs aren't necessarily safe and we didn't even get the guy we wanted. Is that good or bad? Could motivate them but could be a distraction and maybe not great for morale.
It sounds like Patenaude's injury isn't too bad and he's expected to play at the WJC. If that's the case, I wouldn't be opposed to looking for a non-20 competent backup that wouldn't cost too much. Patenaude has been the better goalie of the 2. I'd rather keep Inniss than a 20-year old back up. That's if there is an opportunity to bring in another impact 20 year old. But an impact import would be much less complicated if any are available.

This just allows him to pick his destination. Also, Lemieux is still the starter IMO. Give him a chance to keep going (.900 Dec despite his last 2) to slowly creep up.

Shawinigan has been floating the idea that they might sell, which is about as believable as Cape Breton buying big. Honestly, Mondou is probably hinting at Bourque and Bourgault being available to make the prices go down for other players so he can go get them. Nobody is buying his bull*.

Listening to Jamie Tozer on the Wildcats podcast open.spotify.com/show/1AGAme1VoPDWJj2lUtgWZa He mentions that Sea Dogs are going scorched earth to try to find players that will improve the Team. Pro leagues, College, Trades, talking to players agents, etc, etc. Which shouldn't be no surprise I guess.

Obviously, we've drafted the guys we have for this possibility (even if it is remote). We'll also call the agent for every 20 year-old that could return and any other possible option.

Daoust would be a great fit if he isn't playing enough in Belleville. Excellent 2 way guy that can play in any situation like Groulx did for Mon in 19-20.
