Wonder if we just see some tinkering or will Hulton go 100% all in? I hope we finally have the deadline where it is all in will be a couple years of tough times but Hulton can hopefully rebuild things back up quickly. I’d love a top flight forward also a gritty 2/3 line winger and a number 6 defender that is MEAN. I mean you guys arguably have the assets to get some big names during this trade period. Regardless of having very little picks to trade guys like Trudeau(assuming doesn't go pro), Plandowski, Guay, Boyd will all gather some picks back. Hard not to go big when the chances are high to go far, regardless of a tougher division.

JF Plante reporting Xavier Simoneau will be out 4-6 weeks. Not good, but not horrible. Isles will add at the deadline, and should be able to make up for his loss. Plus they want to make a deep playoff run. You never want your best players injured, but sometimes it can be a blessing in disguise as that player can rest and be more fresh come playoffs. Losing him and then Brabenec to WJC at the same time is a tough one. But overall Isles will be fine.

We're in trouble then. Not to minimize our team, we have a lot of good skill, but missing 3 of top players definitely is going to make an impact. Those 2 injured and Lukas gone and possibly Brabenec, that's our #1 power play unit down. It is only December so it's not full panic mode but it's not good either.

Like I said in a different post I’d rather it happen now than in March. Can’t see this changing Hultons plans . If it does and he decides to just tinker it will be such a waste of assets that was used to acquire Simoneau

One name that could be a potential fit here would Be Alex Drover former high pick is just finding his way into being a top 6 forward outputting up nice numbers jn rimouski. I would love for them to add a top flight top line forward and a player like Drover who can play top 6 or 3rd line. Also this may not be in favour of a lot of people but I wonder if a deal around Goobie for Lapenna could be done?

with Desnoyers makin the world juniors..... forces Hultons hand to add a bit if we see a couple key additions made early in the tarde period we can pretty much count ourselves out of the Desnoyers sweepstakes..... will be interesting to see who will be on the move

Take it for what it's worth.

Take it for what it's worth. If in fact Desnoyers is headed to SJ, who's the next big target for teams like Bathurst/Charlottetown/Quebec to target? (excluding OA's) it seems to fall off a bit unless Robidas is actually available. Zack Roy, Doucet, and Lessard seem to be the next in line and then it falls off a bit. Drover, Johnson, Labelle, Belgarde, Stairs are all good 19 YO's I can see contenders going after but there's no real stud besides Desnoyers... plus if prices are elevated it could mean contenders paying even more for these type of upgrades. I can't see Charlottetown upgrading their Euro slots so I didn't factor in Ivan or Kaslik.

I would tend to think they may aim for Zach Roy or Alex Drover, if either or both are available. The only RH forward they have is an 05 rookie, who may realistically be involved in an upgrade trade. Stairs would fit nice in their lineup as well.
