I knew it was going to be a long shot but I was holding out a little hope for Charlottetown somehow pulling Desnoyers. Love him as a player and I think he "fits" Hulton's hockey.
But since that's not happening, it will be interesting to see who we do bring in and even more interesting, who we lose. This team seems to have REALLY good chemistry, how do you add and subtract without messing that up too bad?

Hulton would probably bring out the Best in a Guy like Stairs ,motivated to play Both Ways he could add some punch to your Bottom 6 . I would think a Young Player off your Roster would do it .

Apparently the aisles have a big trade done. Haven’t gotten a name yet but I’m thinking it’s Lapenna from Drummondville. It was rumoured to be between us and SJ and apparently he’s not going to SJ so time will tell would be a great add . Not sure they’d take Goobie back tho.

Trading for a #1 goalie doesn't make any sense unless there's also a trade in the works for an import. Would make no sense IMO to add a #1 goalie and use up an import slot on a backup goalie, and there's no sense spending assets on a goaltender to be in a 1A/1B situation. Drummondville does have an open Euro slot, so if that Lapenna trade has steam, Satny could go back the other way. But I'm not sure they want to tie up an import slot on a goalie long term if Riley Mercer is their goalie of the future.
Just seems off. Charlottetown needs forward depth more than goaltending. But if they can get a non-import goalie without giving up much, they could then go nab an impact import forward for relatively cheap, and have an overall improvement.

I don’t know much about Lapenna but everybody I’ve talked to says he’s a stud.. Satny as much as I like him may be the odd man out and a impact euro could come?

not that stats tell u everything about a goalie but both Satny and Goobie have better numbers than Lapenna
and he only played 3 playoff games so it's not like he's some experienced playoff goalie
i'll be very surprised if this trade were to happen but Hulton does pull surprising moves off
he also does them without leaking the info out to the Quebec boys...... probably pisses the geniuses off

I've also seen people saying Lapenna to Charlottetown. Also seen on twitter they will be announcing an "important" trade today in general. Time will tell.
