With this tailgate party is it geared more towards fans who couldn't get tickets or could anyone hang out before the game? Hopefully it turns out to be where fans go before the game, get liqoured up and get loud before the game

Due to the high demand for tickets for Games 1 and 2 of the QMJHL President Cup Finals, the Charlottetown Islanders have announced an official Tailgate Viewing Party presented by Eastlink. The Tailgate Viewing Party will be held outside the Eastlink Centre (located at the back side near Red Shores Racetrack) and will feature a large LED video board for fans to watch Games 1 and 2 amongst other fans. In addition, the Tailgate Viewing Party will feature bar service for those that are 19 years or older. Entry to the Tailgate Party is free of charge and is open to all ages. Picnic tables will be placed around the Tailgate Viewing Party and fans are welcome to bring a lawn chair. This is awesome. They should start doing events like this for road games too - either a tailgate or show the game on the big screens inside.

Looks like Shawinigan games 3 and 4 sold out quickly this morning when their tickets went on sale.
Lots of demand to see this series!

I think that Shawinigan is built a little like Sherbrooke. They aren't necessarily a veteran team (like us and Quebec). The Shawinigan first line is Nadeau/Bourgault/Bourque. All three are NHL drafted and Bourque and Bourgault are both NHL first rounders who should immediately be able to step into the AHL and have a prominent role next season as 20 y/o players. It likely is an awesome line and and probably even better than the Roy/Parent combo we saw often, playing with Anctil. Shawinigan and Charlottetown’s top 6 are more experienced than Quebec’s and Sherbrooke’s. Charlottetown is losing 3-4 of its top 6 on offense and 3 of its top 4 on defense next season. Shawinigan is losing 4 of its top 6 on offense and 2 of its top 4 on defense. Quebec is only losing Frenette on its top 6 and he barely had an impact because of his injury. Quebec is only losing Crevier on defense.

Like us, a lot of 02s to figure out for Quebec next year. Big decisions ahead to determine who is moved and who stays. I think that Shawinigan is built a little like Sherbrooke. I’m not sure the others will stay but Roy might have the edge. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another overager added. After Rochette and Savoie Quebec’s ‘02 were mostly depth players.

I claimed Quebec is a veteran team and it is. Players can be 19 y/o returning or 18 y/o returning and be veterans. You are built for a two year run just like us. Your years are 21-22 and 22-23. Ours were 20-21 and 21-22. Everybody on this board knows what kind of teams both Charlottetown and Quebec will ice in 22-23. I think that Shawinigan is built a little like Sherbrooke.
