Game 5 goes tonight I personally am cheering for Shawinigan which I’m sure most of you are to.. they have some weapons that are dangerous. I think both teams are dangerous but I think and this is just an opinion that the Islanders are the best team left could be the homer coming out in me. But man if we could get home iceSatueday. Igor game 1 would be rocking.

I think if you shut down Shawinigans top line, you’re fine…whether you can do that or not, that’s a tough question.
I think Quebec is a lot deeper, but either way both teams are beatable

Bourque and Bourgault are as dangerous a pair as you will find in the Q. I’d be excited to watch Bourgault for a series since I am an Oilers fan.
Probably Shawinigan is the preferred choice just with the fact we get home ice advantage.

Either way we're getting a pretty historic team that's just as deserving as us to win the championship.
We match up nicely against both of them too. Personally I feel like just finished off the toughest team we would face. Sherbrooke had the perfect team to kill us and it showed at times.
That said though, Shawinigan for home ice advantage.

Roy and Parent were dangerous and maybe just as dangerous as Shawinigans top 2. Our D core is our strength and I have faith in them not letting a duo completely dominate them. Maybe I’m way out to lunch

Like others said, I would prefer to have home ice advantage.....
Saying so, I don't have the stats on me, but I believe the Isles record throughout Quebec has been pretty decent all season.
But if it goes the distance, I would prefer the home ice advantage.

Personally I feel like just finished off the toughest team we would face. Sherbrooke had the perfect team to kill us and it showed at times. That said though, Shawinigan for home ice advantage. Mavrik Bourque, despite missing 37 games, had 68 points. Joshua Roy had a great season, but if Bourque plays every game, he probably easily wins the scoring race and league MVP. Bourgault missed 25 games, but still had 36 goals in 43 games. If Shawinigan has those 2 for as many games as Sherbrooke had Roy and Parent, they probably win the division. That's just my opinion. Despite all the injury problems they had this year, Shawinigan still finished 3rd in goals against, well ahead of Sherbrooke. Granted, they finished 7th in goals for, but I defer to my first paragraph for that. For some reason, Shawinigan scares me more that Quebec does. If I had my druthers, I'd prefer Quebec, just because of the possible antics from Patrick Roy. But I would certainly like to have home ice advantage. Either way, to be the best....you have to beat the best!

Both teams have their pros and cons. We split with both teams but Shawinigan was without their top players when the Islanders beat them.
I would like home ice advantage but I also wouldn't mind going up against Patrick Roy and his group. I think either way this will be a hell of a series.

IF we were to win against Quebec, I believe that would make us a perfect 3-0 vs them in the playoffs, which would certainly make for a pretty impressive stat given the teams Roy has been involved with. Either way we're in tough. What will go a long way and I can't really speak for the two remaining teams, is we've been pretty healthy with the exception of LeBlanc.

....and with Hyun Jin Ryu pitching tonight for the Jays (I'm not a Ryu fan) I'll be watching game #5 tonight between Shawinigan vs the Ramparts.

It really wasn't until playoffs started that we had a relatively healthy roster.

5 on 5 I think we beat any team in a BO7.
Home ice is always what a playoff teams wants. Shawinigan.

I don't care personally
don't know enough about either team to make a fair comment
home ice is the tipping point if forced to make a call

Definitely prefer to have home ice, but otherwise I don't think there's a whole lot to separate the two teams. The fans who make the road trips might prefer Quebec.
