I see Sha is already claiming victory tonight. We need to score early, and keep Sha off the score sheet in 1st 10 min. Take no penalties. Cover slot area. Swap Elliot and Stairs for more speed on 2nd line. Seems easy enough 😊 |

The game was decided in OT on a mistake. But it wasn't really lost in OT on that mistake. Just like game 2 they didn't create a margin to cover the inevitably of an error, or a bad call. Used to be playoffs were more buttoned down dot your "i's" cross your "t's" and mind your "q's". Everyone knows this and coaches say to play the right way. If Charlottetown were doing this the games would be very different. I turn on the TV and see NHL games 8-6 and 9-6 and this game is just total whack this year. And some teams that can benefit from that lack of structure but other teams (like Islanders) are better sticking to the tried and true. Players are trying to take shortcuts and getting away from discipline needed to be consistent. These OTs in playoffs for Charlottetown all ended pretty quick. The consistent team will win in the end. Yup. As soon as they ended a first period in which they outshot Sha 17-2 only up by a goal, they left the door open for an ending like this. We haven't seen a single dominant stretch (on the scoreboard) from them in this series. |

I hate to be a whiner but everything I’ve read from the Quebec based fans besides Martin Lahie and Islander relatives have been very ignorant I know I know it’s just a sport but these are 16-20 year olds very classless but maybe that’s just me turning into a sour old man at 34 haha

Yeah that's pretty rude. Maybe say something like that in private to your buddies but don't post it publicly on social media.

The Islanders deserved a better fate in this one so far. 2 OT loses. They could be up 3-1. All they have to do is win the next game at home and they are right in it. GO ISLANDERS!!

Exactly.....they could very easily be up 3-1......but they are down 3-1 Last night's win will build their confidence up.....and maybe have the Cats thinking... One shift at a time.......I still believe we can win this series on home ice! I think we will win on home ice tomorrow......then just one more game in Shaw......where we played good enough to win both games this series. Game 7....back at the Eastlink Centre!! |
