Pretty sure it’s from Sherbrooke. They’re waiting to get back two different first round picks, and we get one of them…not sure which teams. that makes sense as the Brabanec deal was very underwhelming on paper now i may just have to go do some trade treeing Sherbrookes 2024 first belongs to Bathurst Sherbrookes 2025 first belongs to Chicoutimi Sherbrookes 2023 first belongs to Saint John our 2023 first was moved from Sherbrooke to Rimouski my money is on somehow the futures from the Marc Andre Guadet deal with Chicoutimi might be what needs to happen to then finalize the Brabanec deal

I don’t think it was Sherbrooke’s first that I heard. I wanna say Val d’Or or Halifax….but I can’t see it being Val d’Or as they would have a pretty high pick.
I think it’s something along the lines of Sherbrooke sending a player at the draft in exchange for the other teams first round pick.
Could be totally off though.

Didn’t want to start a new threat but what’s up with Tessier?

Didn’t want to start a new threat but what’s up with Tessier? He originally left for family/personal reasons, that's all I've heard

Didn’t want to start a new threat but what’s up with Tessier? no clue but i'd say he's played his last game in an Isles jersey maybe his last game in the Q as he'd be a fairly marginal overager

The longer it goes the less likely it looks like he'll be back and that will impact his likelihood of being back in the league in our uniform or with another team.
I'd go Horth, Morneau, and a goalie.... and yes, sigh, we will have to pay for the goalie.
4-6 weeks ago I was talking about penciling him in as an overage option. I'm not saying that I'd say "no thanks" based on now. But I'd be taking him into camp with other options and having a competition for the job.
If his reasons for being absent are due to health of a family member or a difficult situation, then I wish him the best. He's been gone for way longer that I would have ever imagined.

If we gotta pay for a goalie i'd look to a 19 year old rather than a 20 i have no idea who might be available

Really curious on futures from the trades we made this past deadline. Also feel that the euro pick is a big big one for the franchise would love them to add a top flight forward or maybe a future stud to pair with Kearsey
