No, I am not. This team has far less talent than the last few years but plays a lot harder and in what appears to be a coherent system. Mistakes are made, but it is different hockey. Fans on here have jumped on every good player when they made mistakes. Agree on the system. Was at the Huskies game and even thought the team is very young and raw right now, there is clearly a game plan with the system and the players seem to be sticking to it. Elie and Tivey have been standouts for me in the games I've seen this year. I will say about any possible trade with Halifax it wasn't the GM who said no to Desonyer last year. It was 100% agreed and paperwork done. It was only the Owner of Halifax who saw the reaction online to the trade rumours vetoed the trade. What reaction online? Are we really believing that Bobby Smith killed a deal because of the reaction in Facebook comments and twitter replies but not a message board like this with knowledgeable fans?

I might have been a little harsh of a possible return for Burns in a trade. I personally don't think he is a good hockey player I don't care if he is appg or not. I don't like his on ice antics or his constant head shaking my kid calls him bobblehead burns. One poster mentioned that teams adjust to certain plays well then shouldn't burns have adjusted his play after shooting 3 pucks into a shinpad 2 of those resulting in breakaway goals.

I mean you can not like a player or the way they play and have opinions on their style of play but to say he isn’t good is just objectively wrong. The kids a PPG player in the Q for basically 3 straight seasons, he’s good.

Time to start the rumour mills. I heard from a good source that Josh Lawrence is going to be moved to Halifax. Do not know the return.

Their is a difference between being a skilled player and a good hockey player I just don't think he is the latter just my opinion.

The online reaction I can't confirm. But that's the story I got from Trevor when I was chatting to him last year right after the deadline. He was down in the Ice Bar and I was curious to know what actually happened.

There was an agreed to trade that was completely signed off on that he nixed, but he didn't take Desnoyers off the market. Either he or Russell leaked to JF Plante that they were still listening on offers (in the hopes of getting more). Unfortunately for him, Daoust suddenly became available and the corner that Halifax tried to paint SJ into closed. There were never any other offers for Desnoyers outside of SJ. Halifax tried to move him, but got incredibly greedy.

Hahaha lol i'm certain you weren't the only one in that conversation intoxicated meanwhile we have the Vancouver Canucks firing analytics staff for asking reporters to include quotes saying they are good at their job in the NHL... but we expect to believe the GM of the Memorial Cup champions is telling a messageboard poster in the Ice Bar that Bobby Smith backed out of the trade for Desnoyers lol

Spoke to his billet mom earlier today. Word is Trenholm has a some stuff with him on the Quebec trip in anticipation of a trade where he will not travel back home with the team. Nothing is done yet but hearing Blainville is the front runner
