Spoke to his billet mom earlier today. Word is Trenholm has a some stuff with him on the Quebec trip in anticipation of a trade where he will not travel back home with the team. Nothing is done yet but hearing Blainville is the front runner Trade deadline isnt for another two weeks. |

Great game by MacDonald probably his last as a seadog my gut feeling is he's going to Halifax he's the type of player that wins championships can score play defense kills penalties and is not a bad defenseman. I hope Trevor can get what he's worth I think a 1st and a prospect.

What a punk Burns is! Always been a fan but apparently he said something discrimatory and the refs heard it. Fuck that guy! So talented but a major douche bag!

Seeing these comments about the kid being a douche bag and other social media comments are equally as bad if not worse. These are kids and most of these posters are “adults”. If the CHL really wants to make a stand maybe they should look at the mental health crisis in front of them as exposed by the poor young player in London. Kids read all sorts of shit written about them by so called adults. Think before you rip a kid to shreds on posts. I’ve been a lurker for years and see comments like this all the time. If u want to talk hockey go for it but leave the attacks on kids out of it. Just my 2 cents. |

Whatever was said warranted a statement to be released by Trevor Georgie: The league actually defines discriminatory quite clearly "Definition of discriminatory conduct A discriminatory conduct is a hurtful conduct which may be expressed through behaviours, words, acts, gestures or writings, that affect the dignity and the honour of any person and that are made in relation with race, sex, color, religion, language, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, handicap, status or social condition of the person, or in relation to any other ground of discrimination prohibited by the law." You can probably narrow it down quite easily when the Sea Dogs statement talks about that they are a progressive organization. The league doesn't throw these 5 game suspensions around like candy. I'll take the adult referees and leagues word for it over Brady Burns. |

There's always going to be someone trotting out the "boys will be boys" bullshit after an incident like this. It's super predictable.
It's clear as day that he said something that crossed a line. As lirette pointed out, doesn't take much reading between the lines to figure out what it probably was. This shit needs to be stamped out of the game sooner than now.
He deserves whatever criticism comes his way imo. We don't need grown men sticking up for this kind of behaviour. Boys will be boys doesn't cut it anymore.
