I always wonder how accurate these lists actually are. Cornforth, Eiserman and Gould aren’t listed on the 2023 pre-season list, but are listed on the 2024 list. Are the lists on the website updated to remove guys from the pre-season rosters if they don’t show up to camp even if they stay on the protected list? Not many surprises on the list, I’m actually more surprised that some guys are still on the list than those that were removed. The only person that was removed that I’m surprised about is Eli James. I figured that they would have kept him on the list as an extra goalie. Must be planning to pick up a couple of goalies over the weekend. That is correct. The 2023 preseason only lists guys who actually came to camp (even if it was 48 hours)

Wildcats have hired Paul Bouthilier as a Defensive Consultant. To say that Moncton is all-in with these moves is an understatement.

Wildcats have hired Paul Bouthilier as a Defensive Consultant. I like that they’re adding some more guys from outside the organization. It’s a good thing to bring in fresh eyes and ideas after the last few years have been a rollercoaster defensively. Looks like he held a similar position with SJ before.

Yes, Boots was the assistant coach of the Sea Dogs in 2017 and he was defensive consultant for the 2022 season. Basically, he still did his work with guys like Chabot, and Dobson, but also helped out the team.

Would make sense imo stienman was really bad at times. I dont know if you see the trio go to the cats but even Mackinnon and Rousseau would be huge for the cats any 2 of the 3 really. 20s could be Vidicek Loshing and Rousseau. Could be the best 20 group in the league, Loshing and vidicek are both capable of scoring 50 goals and rousseau speaks for himself imo.

Not a big fan of bringing over that many guys from one team if the speculation is true. Last time I remember Moncton doing that it blew up in round one and there was talk of the team being pretty clique-y. I wonder if this has anything to do with Mueller. If the MacDougalls somehow convinced him to come back, it would make sense to go goalie instead of adding another 20 year old forward even if Vidicek is better.

I'd be a lot more worried about this if Lacroix was still the coach and not Gardiner.

I'd even take a 10th round pick swap just so i can feel something ...

makes perfect sense for Moncton to announce their big deals on the floor tomorrow night to amp it up. Even if some are already pretty much known.

Would be interesting, just wondering when the best time to announce a deal would be if it has no impact on the 2024 1st round. Just randomly between picks??

x.com/monctonwildcats/status/1798716934696964295Zielinski to CB for a 3rd is posted in the Q website Wonder what that means for Euros? Glas is almost certainly not coming back. Drafting two new ones or adding some from the Q already (one of the SJ guys?) interesting trade, have to think Cibulka is not back in CB this year, or he's a placeholder in case. I can see Moncton taking a run at Mateiko, or getting a big name euro to report.
